Given that it's currently the only known fix for the texture bug short of melting your graphics card I feel this is worth bumping. Does anyone know how to do it?

Total War games are like ships that leave harbour and sink. Give them enough time they become national treasures.

I have an ATI EAH 5850 and can run everything on Ultra, with Unit Detail set to High. Very important that last bit or it nukes your fps.

Oddly I found the single most taxing option to be Unit Detail. Ramping it from High to Very High knocks off a huge amount of fps. I can max the game out on Ultra everything but if I dare set that one...
