But realistically what kind of mod would work in this game?
The new series is easier to watch if you are used to modern shows, but they make very bad story changes that are both ahistorical and disagree with popular culture (Romance and operas). Their...
What is the supply mechanic, I thought Britannia was really stripped down.
Did they say anything like Romance mode leans more towards the Romance novel than classic mode? Or the lean of the game as a whole?
It looks to me like people in Center are more interested in...
I don't think the campaign is lost, but you can't wait for their armies to get to your big cities. If you restarted it might be too boring.
Question 8 is simply all the people who don't understand Romance is not fantasy.
Whole landmass of China is purposefully vague. But I think the map will end very close to the province boundaries during the starting year.
The majority of the game will be on the same recycled...
No naval battles could mean either there are just no ship units on the battle map ever, or there are no battle maps with nothing but water. Obviously knowing CA both are probably true.
Subcommanders are most likely just fixed unit groups. Instead of being able to use 1-10, you will have to use your subcommanders.
People complain about removing features so they can be sold as DLC. But having two separate modes at release especially with CA's history is going to be a disaster. The should just make one mode...
Zhugenu and Chokonu are just two romanizations of the same word.
You wrote all of these for this post? Nice post!
LOL flooding is going way too far guys. Look at that super tiny "city". It's on big building with surround by some tiny buildings.
No need to do justice to statesmanship in a Warring States Total War game, and I really hope no is holding their breadth that CA will do justice to the politics and Confucianism of the Three...
Armies get sniped because they move really far relative to the fog of war which in turn is because scouting is horribly done in TW. You will have the same "problem" if you changed the campaign to...
I'm waiting for the complete edition. I only have RTW and Medieval 2 but I'm buying Rome 2 Attila and 3k once the complete edition goes 75% off.
Interesting take on it. The governor traits are actually very random though.
The steppes to Han is like Pontus or Parthia to Rome, war spilled into there very frequently but control was fleeting because it was economically too different.
Korea is more like Germania. When...
Yeah I play Tiger Knight too (screen and first post are based on this game). It is a better game than Total War Arena by far.
But you can have more unit variety than that game pretty easy,...
Wow that post was long. Dude it's just a trailer (others have already explained much about what this means) and TW games are not scripted, so you don't need to be so worried about everything that...
The Three Kingdoms eventually were three emperors (then one emperor), but for most of the novel they were not kings. The centuries old Han court was still the structure of power much like the Roman...
I have to agree that the novel is not any less historically accurate than Total War games but the massive bias in the novel is something that would not benefit gameplay.
Specifically the...
Well the battle map, controls, and logistics in Total War are not realistic either. The unit scale fits the way the game plays, but technically it wouldn't be too hard to just add more people into...
Have no idea what modding is like in any newish games, but to me it is normal for a mod to die and be continued by someone else. I hope this can continue with newer games.
When was the time a game series used a new engine for a sequel? It seems engines now just get updated for every game and work pretty decently. Of course I've never played a Warscape game and heard it...
In RTW pirates don't actually do any piracy do they? The brigands actually hurt your economy but the pirates just wander around killing ships at best, wasting your movement points at worst.
I don't know if you consider this painless but the fastest way is to trade them to someone else for money and maps.
It was always going coming back but we're still no where close.
I hope they hire you guys to port Rome Total War to Windows 10. I hate playing in Windowed mode and being able to play in widescreen without stretched UI would be nice too.
Blizzard is still...
Well beyond being porn, Starz's Spartacus and HBO's Rome should at least try to depict some culture and mannerisms of ancient people. I think Rome did it much better. There seems to be too few...
Well 240 persons don't do extra damage against single giants when they can't hit him.
Warcraft was originally going to be based on Warhammer and there seems to still be some similarities, just based on what I've seen of gameplay so far. So for those who know anything about both lores,...
You can activate your disk cd-key in Steam.
Well if you just want to win no matter what you can pause or slow it down. But you're just cheating yourself. The new games are faster and more arcade than before so you have use units differently....
Has anyone played Rome Total War? Sieges were most of the game. Nothing wrong except some path finding issues.
I don't understand why fullscreen worked fine in Windows 8 but not 10. It really sucks that the game can only be played in windowed mode. I hate the stretched widescreen. The only way to play on my...
Don't think of each faction as a nation where everyone believe they are unified and should be loyal to their leader. This was extremely rare. A faction's very survival required money, charisma, and...
Blizzard did have to deal with map makers but luckily the game died and the map makers went to other companies so they don't have to make maps for Blizzard games anymore.
There were corridors in Rome 1 in the important areas.
What is the "main forums" that the quote is from?
