    Re: A Napoleonic Playmobil army!!

I used to play a lot with Playmobil when I was child (while most of other children in Italy used to play with Lego) and I once received, from my beloved Granpa, a box set of british soldiers, I don't...

How much CA devs would have to learn from this gem in terms of gameplay depth and climate...

  8. Re: Game isn't optimised for people on `NO Timer` mode into mid -late game ...

Well then you're really a lucky guy... I've experienced the "passive siege army bug" in every TW since first Rome, and yes I do remember well the first Shogun era, still the best TW so far imho ;)
  9. Re: Game isn't optimised for people on `NO Timer` mode into mid -late game ...

This kind of behaviour/bug it's in the saga probably since the first Rome, I obviously agree it's a shame (among a lot of other returning bugs...) but I can't imagine any experienced player playing...

    [Beta] Re: Better Maps 0.40

Re: Best mod? And something else.

Still playing (after removing Rome II once for all) with Darthmod + Extend campaign map mod (the littlest one with "just" 25 provinces added) and having great fun (I also suggest no Realm Divide or...
  17. Sticky: Re: Welcome to Ultimate General: Gettysburg TWCenter fan site

One of the best AI I've never seen so far (talking about rts) and it's just an early access :thumbsup2 A game with tremendous potential.
  18. Re: What makes you to keep playing your campaigns ?

Well I find Rome II campaigns (now) quite interesting, probably Rome II and Shogun II gave me the best campaign experiences of the saga. What really keeps me out from playing are tactical battles,...

Why??? Have you ever heard about attrition-->logistics---> choices---> strategy?
I coulnd't care less about "visuals" I just want to ponder my army movement as every general should......
  20. Re: [Patch 11] Correlation of seasons, roads, and attrition

wise choice but don't forget the little hot-fix coming right after ;)
  21. Re: [patch 11] Seasons, roads, and attrition.

This. You can't pretend too much from CA. Glad anyway they give us seasons finally. Let the modders give constistency to the game. As always.

Re: Divide et Impera (Divide & Conquer) - Main Thread

So you would like to limit other players experience just for you don't want to change the size in the settings???:disgust:
Actual D&I unit size settings are perfect and customizable.

Re: Aesthetics and scale; the wrong direction?

It's about what I've always called "Total War: ants" effect. It's also about CA marketing policy but it's not all their fault. They simply try to follow the mass-target expectations which demand...
  27. Re: Divide et Impera - Download link (last version v0.6g2, updated 23/12/13)

I like a lot playing on "high" unit size and have a little more men per unit than vanilla. :thumbsup2
  28. Re: What can be done to improve the battles?(Custom battle video)

Battles where all units are immediately engaging each other with no "second line" and reserves are not just unhistorical, they are simply stupid and quite boring. It's one of the main reason battles...

    Re: A real senate DLC

Which unfortunately is not the case of CA. You should wait for the first real expansion to see some real (little) changes to the core gameplay.
  40. Re: Total War Should Be Evolving Like Paradox Games

Absolutely true as for the campaign. Absolutelty false as regards to tactical battles. (cavarly flanking, frontal rush, suicidal general, battle over). No needing scouting, no reserves, no formation...
