Gotta say, one of my favorite features of any total war game is a minor one. I love how in Medieval 2 when you upgrade the armor level of troops they actually have different armor on the battle map....
I'm suddenly getting CTDs on the battle load screen as well. Everything was running smooth until today. I haven't changed anything from when it was running right either. Load bar gets maybe about 20%...
A tactic that seems to work for me to avoid civil wars is to adopt all the members of the other factions that I can and then go all Godfather on the faction leaders and assassinate them :).
My current Epirus campaign is a lot of fun. They can recruit just about every type of unit. Also their starting position is a little crazy. Sparta and Athens totally hate you and it's a challenge...
