Instead of individually changing all the unit's sizes and their mounts, is it possible to change the modifier or the multiplier the game uses when changing unit size settings from 'Large' to 'Ultra'?...
It is possible to recruit troops with FULL GOLD chevrons.
-Be Rome
-Win battles with one legion and give it the 1st and 2nd upgrade called 'Veteran Legionaries'. Your recruits get +2 chevrons....
Well I cant post the images now because I have a habit of deleting old saves but just in my recent Rome campaign, around the turns 50-60, the tribe, I believe it was Veneti (?) (the ones whos home is...
2 Things:
- Rebellions: A neutral/allied army will travel from surrounding regions to defeat the newly arisen rebels in your territory irrespective of having Military Access. There are times when...
yes there is but its been a long time since i modded some pack files and i have forgotten the exact method..but it exists...something to do with right or left clicking on the heading of columns and...
Yea tell me the address and the name of the row whos value need changing. thanks.
Well go ahead try it out. Just make safe backup of data_rome2 before experimenting anything.
Nope. No problem at all. If it does, it may be due to conflict with other mods. Just download any 1 mod file and try to edit the way I described in post number 3.
Oh and if I remember correctly...
Ok I just switched to Radious mod for funzies. Opened Radious pack file using PFM. Went to db-->campaign_variables_tables-->campaign_variables. Found the 3 entries relating to civil war and changed...
I play DeI mod and have edited it using pfm. First as you can see in mod, there are 8 imperium levels. Civil war's minimum imperium level is 7 and has a high chance at level 8. I just changed all the...
Probably you are playing your battles on hard or greater difficulty which is making enemy stats go up than stated.
Yep. They dont. ONLY YOU have common sense. All other people are so dumb. They should come to your place and give offerings in return for the glorious common sense that only YOU possess. such...
Anyways, only the modders can actually tell how deadliness works and if it actually gives any advantage over armour at all.
Units with 0 deadliness kill because they might have AP weapon damage. EVEN if they dont, their normal damage will eventually kill armoured units.
If indeed Deadliness is totally AP, then isn't it overpowered?
If it is then perhaps:
-Make Deadliness add to Non-AP damage only so it can be countered by armour.
-Make Deadliness add to Melee...
Could it be that the 'deadliness' is totally AP damage? That would explain it because even if you make the armour rating of 9001, you would still die in 10 hits if deadliness is 5 and enemy hp is 50....
Ok, I read in one of the CA Rome Forums that Imperium Level depends on:
- 2 Points for a major city
- 1 for a minor one
- 2 Extra points for holding your original Capital
I know you have to change values in the "fame_levels_tables" but I do not understand the column labelled "fame_threshold_ai" and "fame_threshold_player". Yes, one is for the AI and one is for the...
Yes I already said 'I give up' yet continued to argue. (OMG HOW COULD I????? right? -_- )
Good that your tone changed.
So that was the crux of it. You have made a mod. I haven't. Thats why all my ideas are absurd and I don't know how to balance a game. Fine. Thanks for your "opinion".
...
Say, have YOU created any mod? That's it isn't it? You have created 1 mod and now you are shoving it up in peoples' face. Its your trump card. It the thing you use to shut other people up. What do...
My points still remains. You never once tried to debate on the specifics. You never even comprehended that I was just generating awareness and not immediately demanding a mod. You always talked in...
Woops. My bad. Corrected.
But insulting the mods? Personal attacks and making small mistakes appear a major sin? That's your tactic? Plz boy. Take your pathetic arguments elsewhere.
I wonder what the actual modders of DeI think of my ideas. Their opinion weighs in heavier than the rest of us.
The point I am making is not JUST that the mod seems to be on the path of too many units.
I am saying that the it looks like the mod is on the trend of too many units that are almost identical....
My point was not to make low tier and elites EQUAL but to balance them in such a way that elites should eventually beat rabble but non-elites/rabble/low tiers should also have a reason to be picked....
I give up.
JUST imposing limits forces your armies to be more historically accurate and realistic, yes, but I have thought on this point too and I think it just solves half the problem. Even if you limit your...
That's what I am saying. No more pretend to roleplay. Units get picked coz they are different and useful. In fact what I advocate is more historical and would encourage players to maintain close to...
The most important question of all :)
On a serious note, let's say when you see 3 swordsmen available to you via auxiliary barracks of Carthage that are almost similar in terms of costs/number of...
Exactly sir! DeI isnt yet in that too much unit category and thats what I said in the first post. (I said " I see this kind of trend catching on to our beloved Divide et Impera mod")
Purpose of...
Indeed AoR will fix some of the problems but as I have already stated in my previous comments on the first page, it would be better If one does not have to pretend to pick 5 Hastati, 4 Principes and...
All I read is "OP is a simpleton who wants a total of 3 units because he doesnt appreciate DiE coz his brain cant process too many units".
Jesus. All I am saying is the mod should not head into...
Read my previous comments. Cant repeat stuff over and over.
Ok, the discussion seems to have developed around the nature of this mod.
DeI either:
a) Prioritizes REALISM first, keeping GAMEPLAY a close secondary priority.
b) Prioritizes GAMEPLAY first,...
Heck yea but that just solves the manpower problem but does not solve the stat/gameplay problem. For that you need to tweak costs/stats drastically so even though I can still recruit 20/20 Principes,...
I disagree, gentlemen, that the reason for so many units is for variety or roleplay. Roleplay is a word that doesn't appeal to me. Afterall I believe a game that gets it right won't need roleplaying....
Hello everybody.
If you guys remember the Darthmods of both Napoleon and Empire, they included too many units. By 'too many units' I mean many units that were ALMOST similar to each other and this...
