Re: The fundamental problem of Total War...

You have peace treaties in Rome II as well. I rarely need to go all the way in when I fight an enemy. You gave me the impression that there are less wars and armies at a given time in those games....

Re: The fundamental problem of Total War...

I don't know what's more historically accurate. There are some few extra factors that it uses but I didn't really spot one that was a different take the game had and that it was more accurate.

Sounds like the campaign is sort of neutered to make the real time play possible.

Re: The fundamental problem of Total War...

And, how is the late game play when you have dozens of enemy and allied armies on the map with dozens of settlements owned by you? How do you keep track of approaching enemy armies, etc.?
  6. Poll: Re: Do you feel the coming content of Atilla justifies the price?

To point out that the pointless argument that Attila is a mod for Rome II can be applied to many Total War games.

What's reduced about Attila from Barbarian Invasion expansion?

    Re: Western values vs. ...?

I believe the values you're playing at are whether individuals can govern themselves or not to put it bluntly. In that case, there are merits to the other side. It's "individuals can rule themselves"...

Except that split is not really a theological split. It's a political one that have risen from different people trying to take over the control of the Islamic community.
  12. Re: Why Rome 2 has been relaunched with a different name

I'm appalled by the obvious disinterest in using actual facts here. A single website, not owned by Sega or CA, has two separate pages for Rome II and somehow Steam is said not to jump on this...
