    Moats - used depending on climate, terrain, money, etc.

    mainly used in wet climates (for obvious reasons) - unlikely to find them in deserts.

    Half the time I've no idea who my King is or where he is.

    I tend to leave them wherever they are when they become king, and use them like any other general if need be.
