    That's because you don't use the raiding stance. AFAIK you simply park your ship on their trade route (like in Shogun 2) and then you'll raid it.

    So long as the unit is in range, I don't know why it wouldn't work. I would have to test to be sure, but I'm pretty sure I've used fire at will in shield wall for my mod.
