Ok. In your mediëval II folder do you have a kingdoms.exe, medieval2.exe or both?

The renaming folder thing SHOULD work anyway. But I don't like to use it. There must be something else wrong, I think.

Change it to kingdoms and see if it works. Make a back-up!! No guarantees :)

I'm not an expert on this, but did you change any names of the folders? This can explain why it isn't working.


In my Third Age.bat file I have this line:

start kingdoms.exe...

Does your Third Age folder have the same name as mine, because it won't work if it isn't.

Yes I think it does, but you can swith between mods by changing the last part -> Third_Age_3 becomes SS or whatever you named the Stainless Steel folder.

The fun comes from debating who is the greatest elf/man/dwarf and ofcourse I expect an explanation why :) but if you want to move my post to another thread feel free to do so.

I think it's time for some fun:

Who was the greatest Elf?
Who was the greatest Man?
Who was the greatest Dwarf?

Why is are they greatest? Because of their martial prowess , wisdom or courage?...

I found a solution. Go to Steam and add click on Mediëval -> Properties -> Set Launch Options -> --features.mod=mods/Third_Age_3

I'm playing Third Age Total War with DAC submod. I Always launch with the bat file and it works fine, until yesterday. Now when I use the bat file the game simply won't load. No error...

Hey guys can someone tell me why I don't have a map.rwm file?

I have a problem. I made a script for DAC where after 100 turns a general named Eldarion joins the faction Imladris. This worked, but the next turn another Eldarion showed up and next turn another......

When I make changes to the text.files do I need to delete some files to make it happen?

EDIT: I don't have a map.rwm file in my files.

Do you use Elronds bodyguard on bridges? The problem is that Elrond gets isolated from his guards when defending against lots of enemies on a bridge and gets killed.

I Always use the ' button when I need an ú for Annúminas. Just first touch ' then your prefered character.

Or shift 6 + character for Amon Sûl.

He means Cair Andros.

Did you change the files without using the cleaner afterwards? Because this happens when you don't.

I like it when the Elven factions stay passive. They should be. When you are trying to save the world with a human faction, it's really annoying to have Elves steamrolling your enemies.

I already tried this, but it gives not the solution to the problem :(

Make sure that you really stand in front of Dunharrow and within 2 turns you have a Green Army :)

Did you install in the right path? Did you make changes in the files without Notepad+? What does the log say? You have to tell more to get an idea what's wrong.
