jetchup, the same happaned to me, cos i installed it in my bi folder (program files-the creative assemble-rome toal war-bi)
have u installed it there?
if u have instaled it again in ur rome total...

when ur rk or adunabar, u get rushed into war too early, like with dunland and rohan, but still, dwaves and elves in custom battel!!! trolls!!!

slight isue, downloaded, in the BI folder, the windows system thing started copying, it was done and closed itself, but when i opened the new shadow, only the windows sytem thing popped out again and...

you dont really notice ballista shots do you? they're not as spectacular like onagers, but not as like a cloud as arrows, they're fast too, u probs get casualties off them, u just dont notice it
