For that reason I won't cover all units but only most important ones - ones that won't be skipped.
Said that, I have some issues with current Mamluk units (with their naming and, roles).
So I'm...
And now something completely different:
Ayyubids and Abbasids
Ahdath
Ahdath, literally meaning “young men”, were volonter town militias which maintained order inside city and protected it from...
so this is for Croatia...

Dalmatian coastline is situated on one of most important naval trade routes: from Venice to the East. Wealth, and at times even...
Bosnia had Velmože too... so... ;)
Even more pronounced since there royal power was relatively weak in later medieval period, and they had real power.
Unlike Despots in Serbia.
Most of...
Before 14th century you had "Vojnici" as separate class below lower nobles, but later they merge.
Vlastelčići clearly denotes lower nobility (it literally means small noble).
Vlastela are...

(when everything is done I will put all descriptions in "Contribute an Unit Description for MKTW!" thread):

It is ironical.
And I wasn't entirely serious in the description either :D
Let me put quotation marks in there:
It was the weapon of choice of Marko Kraljević, "the greatest hero" in the Balkans....
Yes.
In real life he was supposed to be next Tsar but ended up was Ottoman vassal. So had to fight "on the wrong side".
In folk stories and songs he was "greatest hero of all".
There are epic...
I put this here, so all descriptions for Serbia are in the same post.
Also I did some small changes and corrections.

Crossbows started to appear in Serbia armies during the 14th century, anperiod of gradual westernization of the army. They have pros and cons compared to bows:...
I will add a bit different descr for Vojnici axeman, no problem.

I have some of the descriptions ready.
What do you think ?
(grammar errors are to be expected :D )
Peasant Bowmen
“Zamanička vojska” is a term for levy army that was raised in case of...
Yeah, militia is excellent.
I noted changes on Vlastelčići too, with helmets they look even better than before.
I hope "Bosnian Vlastela" will be AOR unit too so others can recruit them if control right provinces :)
Vlastelčići tier 3 have them, and probably some cavalry units as secondary.
There is at least one known written trace of horse armor being bought from Italy in 14th century:
"In 1376, Ganinno, master craftsman in Dubrovnik, sold to Bogdan Kirizmić 20 horse armors worth 224...
My bad, I misread.
I've removed that part from my post above.
That is all true, but existence of title "Vojvoda" tells us nothing about existence of some special military unit under his command.
Voivode is high-noble so he is part of Vlastela unit....
"Croatian cavalry" unit had only tier 1 (which is 13th century) so it does not fit time frame for Kosovo battle.
Note that some other AOR and mercenary units are missing (Almogavars, Cakoni,...
They are great, and I hope to see them soon in game
Oh, it will be epic !
After second look I agree with you there. Some changes will be made... for example:

For other shield it will mean...
Well,

One of my choics for che campaign (when it arrives ;) )
Great news indeed !
Can't wait
I just noticed - OMG there are no peasant archers - quick add them :laughter:
A wonderful preview !
Units are beautiful and at the same stay true to historical sources.
I spent 20 minutes just looking at pictures.
I hope that we will soon be able to play with them :)
...
Thanks.
Not being to read Cyrillic fluently does hold me back a bit.
I need a lot of time to go trough typical 30-ish page scientific abstract.
I feel like a little child who just started...
About mercenaries in 13-14th century:

A great article (in english) about mercenaries under Nemanjić dynasty:...
Well that is very lucky, those finds are very rare and valuable.
I'm unaware of any finds of actual medieval body armor ( cuirass ) in any x-Yugoslavian countries.
Only some mail, and fragments of...
One more thing to add to Serbian roster are "Cuman mercenaries" as horse archers.
We are talking about 2,000 strong force in 13th, early 14th century.
document is in Serbian, but has English...
I'm not sure what you expect to find...
There isn't a single surviving 14th century armor to find in whole Balkans.
So without "art" (frescoes, statues, seals, ilumintions) there is not much.
...
Congrats :)
I have no interest in next Total war games... At least ones we know about.
Their themes seem uninteresting. Warhammer or China - not my cup of tea. Early medieval British isles... perhaps...

If I can nitpick a bit about heraldry...
"Kačić's dragon" is probably not the best solution for "high" era knightly unit.
Omiš branch of Kačić family which was most powerful loses its...
