Have you thought about doing seperate faction files for both the buildings/units.txt. The problem with increasing the costs of the units is how the AI reacts to them. Its a huge undertaking to test...
Oh wait I just saw the first page (haven't been there for a while). Is it nessisary to unpack? I've just been using the mod switch.

I used Med manager for both 1.2 and 1.3
VH - Campaign isn't all that different from H, from what I noticed. Only thing that seems to matter is the AI is skewed against you. With the diplomacy mods, what I can tell, that means your...
How is playing the turks under this latest revision? I decided to play them, but with the changes to the requirements for cities, I am hesitent as their good troops are academy based.
Who told you to do that Artavardiya?
I don't know if its just England, and I know they are easy, but when you get #1 spot, it seems like the AI is too timid to do anything against you. I was able to systematically destroy a faction one...
I've used this strategy to get two GM guilds so far. I assume this works for all non-agent guilds though (still trying to test, just haven't gotten them yet).
Train whatever you need to in order...
Its actually surprising. VH = All factions skewed against you.
To get woodsmen guild: Pick a castle (I used Nottingham)
Spam Archers from that castle.
Move them outside the castle and disband them.
Do that every turn.
Unlike Cavalry, the different Archer...
Also, of all the Factions we are biased towards England...for the simple fact we have no negative preconceptions of them over here. I got a few friends into the game, and they all started as England....
I am just now playing as England after 5 other campaigns. Its easy, but man is it fun with the 2h fix.
I think the Merc options are lacking throughout. Huge opportunity wasted. Hopefully Mod will rectify this situation.
Can there be sub goals?
No. In order to get the charge bonus, the unit has to switch into charge mode. Unless this happens, there is no bonus, no matter how fast you were going before contact.
One idea is to assign traits, especially for those re-uniting vast empires.
Example: Moors - Asia - Win a Major conquest in Asia - Get a title + stat bump.
Africa - Win a Major Conquest in Africa...
Has anyone gotten the unlimited men thing to work with the mod? Couldn't put it in the short cut. I went into the cfg and turned it to 1. Does the cfg have to be in the mod folder?
Eric, just clicked on your sig, what is that site all about?
Sorry don't mean to hijak.
Yes plz, this map + shabba's mod would be awesome. Been trying to keep my game pure with just his mod to report back any wierdness.
Well, thats not entirely true. The problem is, for RTW vets, all spearmen were good vs Cavalry.
Now, only pikemen are functionally able to counter Cavalry charges. All Cav charges are brutal....
Use lusteds mods as a basis for your own. Take what you want, leave the rest.
Conquistidors are pretty awesome.
I am pretty sure all that happens mechanics wise, is the Papacy gets moved to another territory, and a new election happens (if the pope dies). You still need to win the election.
Hrm, same thing just happened with Denmark, my other buddy. Perfect relations with Denmark.
I was pulled into a naval battle b/c Russia (my ally) attack Poland while I was near. Poland happened to...
*Sigh* What is wrong with people. Show some respect, out of principal. Modders do this out of their own time, for no compensation other then the thanks of a grateful community. Its one thing to be...
No question, France was smart to get Spain out of the war.
My question is why did Spain not choose to remain my Ally instead of France?
Spain had been my Ally since the first 10 turns, and I have...
Yes, Darth's Mods totally changed the way Battles played out. It made them actually very very enjoyable.
If you can even come close to what he accomplished, then my next kid will be named Darius.
Anyone who has tried this mod, and not played England or Scottland:
Does having both nations start with additional provinces do anything for their AI? I have had only one game where England or...
King Phillip, been tossing around a few ideas in my head, as I spent a good deal of time with the RTW trait system. One of the coolest trait related mods imho was the Alexander trait mods. It was...
They are doing it in my 1.0-1.1, 1.3 Shabba's Campaign too. Spain took Ajaccio, looks like right before the pope landed, as there is a 3/4 stack of Papal state troops on the Island as well.
I heard that this happens if you give the Pope a region.
Also, MedManager can change settings like unit sizes by editing the save game.
Aghamavars or whatever they are called are excellent Light Infantry. Javalins + Spears.
Quick question: When you go to war with a faction, when you share common Allies, what is the factor that makes the Allies choose who to break the Alliance with.
Reason I ask is this: England...
Does anyone know if your supposed to be able to re-vassal a faction?
In my 1.3 campaign, Milan had already made HRE its puppet, which actually broke my Alliance with Milan. Just got a message...
Found an answer. Don't use the unlimited men command and the mod switcher.
For whatever reason, it will load it, but take priority and not point the game to where your modded files are.
Test:...
Ok, now this may just be me, but I installed the patch, then loaded up the mod via shortcut I had, except I added the unlimited men switch.
Now, I had changed the Dismoutned English knights to use...
This is one of the most reoccuring threads, if you count the variations (Hardest, easiest, best, most fun etc.).
Its highly subjective. For me, Denmark is the ultimate faction. Its fun, it starts...
Isn't the only difference that the values for the different levels have changed, and troops retain their experience when re-training?
