CA is firmly vested in mass producing DLC for their games. It obviously brings in money and people still buy their games. The simple solution if you don't like CA's DLC policy is not to buy their...
The last patch "fixed" the battle difficulty setting so that when you select Legendary difficulty, you can't set the battle difficulty to anything other than VH. Problem is that on VH battle...
You aren't going to see better mods unless there is a way to get a refund from Steam. To try the mod you have to pay for it. I'll donate, but I am not paying unless I am 100% certain I am getting...
Until customers quit pre-buying CA titles and quit believing paid review sites, CA has no incentive for making anything other than a buggy launches. The customer becomes the alpha/beta tester.
Same experience in my games. Way too much money. 80% would be the ideal cap for those of us playing on Legendary.
Thanks Bonaparte and Kam for your comments. Sounds like I am at the right place. I'll give DEI a spin.
I am looking to play the Roman faction but am looking for a mod that makes it a lot more challenging. I bought Rome 2 to play the Romans, not Pontus, or Bactria. The Romans didn't exactly steamroll...
I suspect that there is a reaction against pre-buying Attila as a result of Rome 2 and its terrible launch. Given time and a markdown in pricing, Attila will be a success as people hear good things...
You aren't a "devout" Catholic if you question the authority of the Church. In 1986 the church stated that "homosexual orientation is not a sin but, as a tendency toward the "moral evil" of...
Bad translation IMHO - "I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things."
No, God did not kill the firstborns, the Pharoah did by not obeying God's will despite being given chances to do otherwise. How many of the Jews were killed working on the Pyramids in slavery? This...
Basics,
You really think sin ceases because you have the Holy Spirit? You can have the Holy Spirit, sin, and yes still be a homosexual. Is one sin greater than another? The Lord died on the...
No one should be passing judgement on anyone with regards to sin. Everyone commits sin and is in no position to judge others. David committed adultery and murder yet was forgiven. The thief on the...
Thanks! I am in your debt!
Hi,
I didn't mean to critize and I know that pleasing everyone is impossible. Thanks for your efforts. I've downloaded your mod and will give a whirl as WRE on legendary...
Hi Duboyski,
Would you mind doing one that reduces the unhappiness by -2? Thanks!
Definately not for me. I was looking for a tweak not a 50% reduction.
I am looking for the same thing. Getting a hit of 8 to happiness for legendary difficulty is a bit much
It definately helps the AI with requiring a general to lead an army. It stops all those stupid little armies that the AI would spam.
Maybe on the lowest settings. That laptop performance is underwhelming.
As a Christian and Roman Catholic, I am more concerned about the polarization between the Christians themselves. Moderate Christianity is declining rapidly and on the incline is the growth of...
+1
A little mod but with a big fix. The high upkeep cost kills the Roman AI factions since the AI will not destroy buildings. The work around for this for players has been to demolish the...
The link is broken.
I wonder if CA is going to use the Paradox model in disguising a patch as an expansion. It doesn't look like CA is going to fix the AI with patches at this point. I suspect that there is too much...
I suspect that what is next is another DLC. The pirates DLC seems to be scrapping the bottom of the bucket for money, but I suspect that CA thinks there is more cash to be squeezed from the game.
The actual bible of today came centuries after the death of Christ. The Church kept the beliefs of Christianity and was responsible for putting together the bible. The bible is about spirituality...
Protestants seem to commonly embrace the Calvinistic belief of predestination at birth. Catholic and Orthodox theology tend to believe that Christians as a group (aka the Church in the bible) are...
Salvation is through faith and works. Works come from faith. They are mutually dependent. Faith without works is not faith, it is self-deception. Works are doing God's will, and works without...
The problem isn't that the bible is wrong but rather that the person or group interpreting the bible is wrong. Christians who rely solely on the bible fixate on a particular dogma and think their...
If you think about it, CA has worked around the siege problem with the Batman grappling hooks and the Spiderman wall crawling. I am guessing that the torches is another work around and a stupid one...
After 12 patches Rome 2 still feels unfinished to me compared to Rome 1. It has nothing to do with the game engines as Shogun 2 to me is a real gem that I often play. The various pieces of Rome 2,...
The naval system and AI that Shogun 2 uses would have worked just fine for Rome 2. I wonder why they abandoned it..
The only lesson to be learned from Rome 2 is not to pre buy Creative Assembly games.
The only modder that might have changed CA was Darth. He was outspoken and understood what the games were missing. They could have used him in a constructive manner, either through as a testor or...
I fixed that issue by playing the game on single core and throttling back the graphics using the Nvidia control panel to override. A state of the art rig and I am reduced to that.. Oh, still get...
Since CA seems only interested in cranking out DLC, how about a DLC that fixes the problems with the sieges? A followup DLC could be naval or the torch removal DLC. Nothing better than charging...
Spot on! My sentiments exactly! History repeats itself when lessons aren't learned.
The campaign AI is better but the siege AI remains terribly broken. It ruins the game for me. I keep hoping that a no-fort mod that replaces the siege battle with a field battle is released.
Who cares? Its the lesser of two evils. Both games are disliked by their respective fan bases.
