  1. Poll: Re: Favourite "I Win" Unit (in FATW - DoM open beta)

I crushed Rhovanion and Dorwinion using just those guys, or Wain Bows, because armies are for pussies. :P
  2. Poll: Re: Favourite "I Win" Unit (in FATW - DoM open beta)

Petition to rename Wain Bows to Dwarven Gattling Guns? :P

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

^ That's something I commented on in BT3, simply put the north and the west are usually very quiet (Unless you are killing orcs), so the only action you will likely get is against the Northmen and...

    Re: Feedback: Elves

Agreed, sometimes I get a ton of characters in a specific region, meaning I have to spent many turns moving them to areas I need them in.

Dwarf and Elf BG's are monsters in CC. I can send them out...

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

It's not faction wide, you can only upgrade units if the city they are in has the Mithril Armoury. ;) so say Dwarrowdelf has one but Erebor hasn't, you're only going to be able to upgrade the troops...

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

You still need to build the Mithril Mines before you can build the armouries, and that requires the Chamber of Records as a prerequisite in all cities anyway.

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

That's correct, get the mithril mines, and make sure you have a chamber of records in every Dwarf city and you can forge to your hearts content.

If you can sum it up in one or two sentences at the top then it works very well. Being able to summarize something is key when writing manuals in my day job. Since the average person reading one...

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

This was a problem I noted in BT2 as some of the guys here will recall. I assaulted Orodengrin and got a huge stack of Orcs acting as reinforcements to the garrison, however they didn't march until...

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

All part of the learning curve :) it's quite fun figuring out what stuff does and how to play it.

In my first play through I wound up depopulating every settlement. Then I got Dale declaring war...

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

That might be why you got so much money then :P if you take a few mannish towns early on you'll have more places to pump money into and more options with recruitment.

    With archers, there is a...
  13. Sticky: Re: The Dominion of Men Open Beta General Feedback Thread

Stonemasons reduce construction costs, while metalsmiths reduce construction times, so fun comes in deciding what you like better. That said the charters could do with tweaking on the descriptions?

I think Dwarven throwing axes are pretty fine as they are to be honest. They have proven to be a pretty solid unit, either in skirmishing or in close combat, A good all-rounder and I wouldn't advise...

  26. Poll: Re: So, which faction DID you actually test first in campaign?

    Re: Feedback: Dwarves

  30. Poll: Re: Which faction will you play the most in The Dominion of Men?
