Correct. I compared both files and nothing seems off. It seems to be a slippery one.

There also seems to be something wrong with towers for Large Stone Walls in Bare Geomod. No tower upgrades seem to come into effect for them.
In campaign, Ballista Tower upgrades don't come into...

Interesting how he says they managed to "ship just in time".
One thing I don't like is how everything that isn't in the immediate proximity of a city is basically wilderness, with...
I suspect people here don't know that you are 100% in control of who gets to be a General or not in the game.
It's like they are taking the rumours spread from that far-right site 2 days ago and...
AI and Games made a video dealing about the AI system used in Rome II and the fact that it was a completely new system, compared to its predecessors.
The system was groundbreaking, but it had little...
I guess it depends upon which faction you're playing. In my Odryssian Kingdom campaign, Macedon is extremely resilient and can count on the loyalty of Sparta and Athens pretty consistently. Only if I...
I already have 2 of those 3, guess it's not a hard choice then.
Nice to know the main game is getting an update. Hope it makes some UI and graphic improvements and fixes. Also fix some of the typos in the code.
One thing that makes me worried is the mods that...
I remember that post. EE did a lot of great things, but sadly many things broke as well and CA didn't look back to fix them even for patch 17. Their "fixed internally" response makes me even more...
No programming work for Attila or Rome II in the future, unfortunately, as that isn't Lusted's team's purpose.
The patrol stance doesn't actually make them move in the campaign map. It gives some bonuses, but it would be annoying having to see your fleet moving pointlessly during each end turn.
Something within me wishes they release content with an optional patch for the existing game. The game is still in serious need of QoL and script fixes.
It seems the mounts were indeed unused. Deleting them made no change, and it seems there were no missing model variants after all. No more error messages in the log. I hope I don't run into more...
I replaced the descr_projectiles and that got rid of the first set of error messages and got rid of the CTD. I can launch the game now.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find retrofit's...
It seems you are correct. I found this:
22:47:58.023 [script.err] [error] Script Error in mods/Bare_Geomod/data/export_descr_unit.txt, at line 1722, column 25stat_pri statistic refers to...
I've been using notepad. I tried replacing the contents with those of another mod (retrofit, to be precise) that simply changed stats and troop numbers for some vanilla units, but it seems something...
Just started using this mod. Not planning to do anything big with it in terms of modding, but I noticed that the export_descr_unit file doesn't have the recruit_priority_offset line for each unit....
The problem is that a bunch of people couldn't launch the game and started foaming at the mouth instead of looking for workarounds, some as simple as going into Steam's offline mode.
If anyone is having problems with the way the game looks, you can try lowering your Gamma in the meantime. Seems to make things look better for some people.
That, and a lot of the negative ones seem to have been to downvoted to oblivion as "useless", and many of them actually were.
Oh well. The Steam reviews are out, the negative reviews are close to 40%, and most of them will remain unupdated to confuse future potential buyers even after the issue is fixed. Abusive messages...
Haven't seen anyone reach the endgame yet, but Darren suggested there would be an "endgame boss" of sorts.
Yes, but there is a narrative reason for having the same advisor "working" for the 4 races. "Change" is the keyword here and may tie in with the endgame, at least that's what the theories seem to...
Interesting observation. Indeed, seems Reddit has become much more prominent when it comes to community interaction than forums. But if you ask the people in here, chances are they will simply say...
The game will be moddable to a certain extent. However, you won't be able to mod other IPs into TW: Warhammer, and the mod will be taken down if you do.
Not if you pay attention.
I wonder how many of the critics of charge impact have witnessed cavalry in real action. Kinda makes sense for Warhammer to be over the top, though.
Also, Legend of Total War. He is known to find and expose the cracks in the game's designs, since he actively looks for exploits and points them out. He does the job a QA tester is supposed to do.
...
One thing that bothers me is how the attrition from 2 infighting chaos armies will be dealt with by the AI. I hope they dont make that mechanic only apply to the player, I'm tired of having the AI...
Just a placeholder, then.
Great news. I hope this benefits CA in more than just PR, to encourage more decisions like this in future titles.
Let him be the judge after trying things out by himself.
Raising the dead is only ok when you're a Vampire Count. Might as well have started a new thread.
And yes, music for this time period needs more drumming.
How can you waste any money if you already bought Rome II? I suggest you try it by yourself.
Rome 1 starts in 270 BC.
A lot more bugfixing can be done if the game isn't launched yet. Rome II had a bunch of patches in its first month, and I presume they could have contained more fixes if the launch had been delayed 1...
Correct, Empire was delayed to make it the "most accomplished and epic of the Total War series".
One thing about the Bretonnian screenshot: CA said they won't be making a video centered on them, since they aren't playable.
Well, surely when people complain about why the game looks different on their PCs from what is shown in promotional material, they will not use this video as a reference for comparison, but the Black...
I wonder how you didn't notice the harpies flying around.
Thanks for the pictures! Some youtubers could find these tweaks useful, since they usually have beastly enough computers to handle them. But this thread is relatively obscure.
