    Re: Instant transports are back!

It is dumb if there is enemy navies in the region. If you're just sending an army across the English channel or between Lilybaum and Carthage you don't really need an accompanying navy. Tactically,...

Sticky: Poll: Re: Official TW: Rome II Complaint Thread

A hoplite fan would be aware of different sizes for the aspis.
  4. Re: Will cities like Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria and Ctesiphon look UNIQUE?

It's pointless at best. You need a new region to define its different set of factors like its income. Then there is the problem with being conquered.

    Re: Instant transports are back!

Just because you mentioned a different system from a different game doesn't make it a good solution. Paradox's EU4 has tiles for regions including the sea and doesn't have the continuous regions of...

Re: ISIL War in Iraq and Syria

If Turkey attacks ISIS and provides arms to Kurds, she'd be helping PKK and PYD, which would create a long term problem. If Turkey attacks PKK and YPG, she'd be helping ISIS, which would create an...

But, they are, at least the ones that are announced as new. You can't just make stuff up about these features and ignore everything to keep making that claim. Family tree is specifically announced as...
  9. Re: Will cities like Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria and Ctesiphon look UNIQUE?

How do you define the new region?
  10. Re: Is it me, or are slingers still a little too strong?

How does that relate to a single unit of slingers having 40-80 soldiers in it? As I said, if you think skirmishers haven't been used that much in ancient times then use less of those in your army....
  11. Poll: Re: An Interactive/Sensible Approach to Siege Escalation

There is nothing you've seen so far suggests that. It might be the case but you don't know anything about it. We've only seen the latest level of siege of escalation in the siege of Londinium video....

  13. Re: After rewatching Rome 2's reveal - Siege of Carthage...

Finally, something tangible. Thank you. So, that leaves only building browser as a returning feature that's announced as new. Hardly an issue that's aggravating.

Then show me those examples. As far as I remember only Rome II has the ability to show you the building chain.

I hope that, for at least the other features you listed, you admit that they were not...

Past games had building description pages, not the building browser they showed recently. If I'm wrong correct me.

There seems to be 3 spots for Household traits this time. It's visible on minute 12 on the EGX announcement video.

I am actually re-watching, or mostly watching for the first time while paying attention, the EGX announcement video. Just got to the building browser part. They do say that they have a new building...

Well, then I don't know where they announced it as new feature to Total War genre.

  22. Re: Is it me, or are slingers still a little too strong?

If you think that's the case then just use one unit of slingers. I asked why one unit should consist of 40-80 soldiers.

Re: Punitive Expeditions? How do you do it?

Few options. Diplomacy. Try to keep the peace as many of those factions as possible while taking them one by one. Liberate. You could liberate the settlements you conquer.

  25. Re: Is it me, or are slingers still a little too strong?

Why 40 or 80? How do they have an advantage in combat with 120 soldiers? Most infantry or cavalry units won't have any problems with routing them.
  26. Re: The Walking Dead: TV Series (Comic spoilers in tags with warning)

I honestly thought that they'd at least give half the season to Terminus. Just previous season finale and current season premiere for all that?
  27. Re: Is it me, or are slingers still a little too strong?

Just tested one Egyptian Slingers against one Legionary Cohort unit. The Roman unit just sat there head on facing the Egyptians. Once the Slingers ammo was over there were still 108 soldiers...
  28. Re: Will cities like Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria and Ctesiphon look UNIQUE?

You need a much larger battle map to fit Constantinople accurately. It will likely be nerfed down.
