What? Shogun 2 is CA's most modifiable game.
Anyways, the MTW2 engine is pretty garbage at this point. The quality of life features in RomeII alone will make it hard to go back.

Some of these traits are absolutely worthless and add nothing but annoyance to the game. Not sure what you guys were thinking.
Worthless traits:
'Ovcon'
'Dishonorable - makes no sense. No...
Starting my templar campaign as I type this

Good thing KK seems mature and isn't 8 years old. Like you.
How many hours is German time ahead of PST?
So when can we expect 4.0?
KOH (the Directors Cut) was a pretty good movie save for Orlando Bloom who was absolutely horrid in it. The token evil Templar dude felt forced, overacted and a bit too unrealistic, but meh. What...
Do I need to apply the 1.1 update before patching with 1.2?
Why not let us test it for you?
Is there an ETA for version 4.0?
Haven't played 3.2 yet and it looks tempting, but I think I'm going to hold off for the next version which includes Darthmod.
Hello ahistorical
This would be a great mod if it wasn't for the 900 freaking turns. Thats just madness. Using craptastic early units for that long and most likely never reaching gunpowder isn't fun.
This is why you don't play the horribly bugggy vanilla MTW2.
Darth mod is really great right now. And actually does Dismounted Gothic knights justice.
They have the half the numbers of every other infantry unit. 2HP makes complete sense, especially considering their upkeep is freaking 250.
Just in my other game, 1 unit of CROSSBOW MILITIA,...
Oh please. Civ 4 does everything better than MTW 2 except for eye candy and combat.
AllI know is, a combination of Civ 4 and MTW 2 would make the greatest video game, on any platform, of all time.
I'm just tired of the horrendous AI. MTW2 could of been so much more.
But I still love the game and won't stop playing it anytime soon.
Yup. Civ 4 got it right. A whole plethora of different tracks for each era. MTW2 really gets boring hearing the exact same thing over and over the entire game.
Here is how play HRE.
99% of my games are decided before 50 turns or so. The problem with that, I like to turtle and tech up so I can use my dismounted gothic knights.
So what I do, is take...
Seconding this. My games are usually decided by the time Late era even comes around.
No, they don't. Scots Guard win head to head and are also better in a melee.
I knew how I would. Is there a thread on the subject I could read? I haven't seen any.
Hey spurius, would it be possible to add in the missing campaign units, like the Dismounted Gothic Knights etc, in the Late era version?
Not in my experience it doesn't. I've only had slow down when using his Late Era mod and the Anno Donni map, which is not the same as BigMap.
Not in my in campaign they aren't, while using 1.2.
Like Dismounted Gothic Knights and English Armoured Sgts etc, they aren't showing up in the campaign for whatever reason. I'm using Darth lite 1.0 and 1.2 patch.
Any chance of a BigMap version? Royal Arms map makes Italy one big clusterfcuk and turns the game into a siege fest.
Hey Spurius, do you know how I could combine Winning combo and your Late Era mod? Would I just need to switch out the different map files, or would there be more changes needed?
Hey Valkirah, does this mod work with Spurius' Late Era version of BigMap?
So the Late Era version isn't using the 1.06 patch?
Scots Guard. They have plate and a longbow and can hold their own a melee. They kill Englishmen really good. And well, they are Scottish.
Like I mentioned before, the Northmen were said to be using 2handed greatswords at multiple parts ofthe book, including their leaders. Scottish Nobles and Forlorn Hope seem to be a perfect fit for...
Well, I'm getting a CTD when I try and start a Late Era/Extended Regions campaign. Anyone else have this problem?
Getting an error on the download link for 1.04 updated version of Late Era.
Pretty good unit list. I would agree though with the poster above me, Norman Knights would be a good unique unit. I'd suggest removing English Knights and adding Norman Knights and Huscarls +...
Well those issues they adressing in the '2nd update' were known before the game was even released. How is releasing a game with glaring, game breaking bugs an impressive feat?
How is supporting your game through digital download a waste of time?
Use the 'gift' button not the 'make offer' icon.
Pope has never said no to me when I gift him a city.
Does this apply to your Late Era mod as well?
For the installation, I'm completely lost on step 4..
What? Am supposed to create the mymod/data folder? Because I don't see one.
