    Reinstalled MTW2 and installed EB2 again and still have same problem. Hope there's a solution for this. Would really like to try this mod out.

    Looks like I didn't remove other mods properly which was causing ctd's. I tried a quick battle with TROM and again the battle lasted 3 minutes. I'll keep working on my own modded data.

    I don't know how the new engine works, but presumably decreasing weapon lethality and increasing armour will decrease the likelihood of a fatal blow being struck therefore increasing melee combat?
