    The principle of this tool is to create registry entries. Unless Steam majorly changed the launcher (which they won't as it is M2TW software, not Steam's) it will still work.

    Nope, infantry modifier doesn't exist - it's not needed in the first place as the base value in descr_characters is the infantry value on which the other two modifiers are based.
