Mine works fine on vista. So far I havent had troubles with any mods or anything. I definitely didnt have to change compatibility modes or anything like that for rtw. That sucks though I hope you fix...

Get better ones (try training them in towns with merchants guild if available, and high level trade buildings). Also, find better resources. I have 5 merchants right now making about 60-80 per turn...

The same damn thing happens to me (Core 2 duo e6400, atix1900xt). It only happened to me twice (in the same castle) and has not happened again in other large castes though. It will show about 30 fps...

Im at turn about 150 in a spanish campaign and so far I have had two generals killed, and one declared innocent. I just built many churches as soon as possible and have a priest in every city/castle.

Used it once... more of a "what does this button do?" thing than I actually wanted to use it. That was 30 seconds of my life that I never got back. I wont miss it.

I doubt vista would help, since most current games actually loose a few fps in vista. You need to have more ram to run vista which also slows games down.
