i didnt do anything too crazy to get it, just started a war with the egyptians for no reason and almost killed off my faction leader to get it.
got it thanks, dont know why i didnt let a turn pass before posting about it.
just wondering if the legendary conqueror trait was available to the Macedonians. i got all 3 victor traits with my faction leader, but didnt get " the great" after my faction leaders name.
in my last roman campaign i had a massive rebellion all of spain and a few cities in the greece, i ended up over 100,000 in debt and fought my way out of it (good thing there was plenty of gaul...
game ctd when i was besieging a roman (rebel) city with the romans. i was using a lot of artillery ( ballistas, onagers, etc.) to reek havoc on the city before i went in with my legions and it ctd.
what happened is when you destroyed the julii (really they are just the romans in xgm) your faction the scipii (roman rebels) turned into the julii.
what folder do the screen shots from xgm go?
*edit*

i dont think people really understand what your mod is all about ( i know i dont) it is hard to follow exactly what you are doing with this xgm mod. from what i take of it, it just changes the menus...
the spanish never beat rome in my campaigns, they crush the guals but never the romans
i came at rome before marius in my last campaign and it was much much easier. i also used a cheesy tactic of sending 4 spies into a city at a time to invoke a rebellion. i got like 2 cities in italy...
whats up with the 2 walls? do they work in battle
i thought about that also, would be cool if we could promote our generals up in the faction. like 4 strategos, 2 generals, 1 faction heir, and 1 faction leader. that way we can show our generals that...
ive started to use this tactic myself and it is working great. plus you cant beat having two spartan generals in your army.
thats the way i always thought of them also they were def good builders and engineers they just werent really into school type things like philosophy and the likes.
thats weird my maps have never ended up looking like that in 5.0. the spanish usually destroy the gauls the germans smash the scythians and pontics take over most of Seleucia. this can be because i...
id like to see the numidians back as well but not britain or dacia.
i dont like to use the corner method either but i find myself using it more and more. the AI refuses to fight head on and since we cant set up units at angles, i dont see any other way to counter...
lost my spartans to the independents so i tried to cheat to make them and couldnt get it to work then i tried to cheat and just make any unit could never get it to work. i was typing this exactly:

rome always seems to attack me by coming up and around italy then down into greece so i usually hold them off with one stack and send a diff stack to sicily on boat and just decimate them city by...
i have the same problem all the time. so know i dont use generals unless they are the faction leader or heir.
o ok thanks, but ill tell ya what it made for alot harder battles. it was pretty interesting trying to take out those silver shields.
did a whole campaign with the gcw and was never able to recruit armoured phalangites. cant remember is macedon ever used their foot companions but the seleucid had silver shields.
alright maybe im just having bad luck with loyalty then. i dont have one general with over 4 rings of loyalty. i have now switched to not using generals with my big stacks. it puts me at a bit of a...
Playing as the GCS and seems like everytime i muster up a full stack of experienced units, "Joe Schmo The Conqueror" and his whole stack decide to rebel. I like the whole rebellion thing because it...
