I've started writing the second part of The War of Dwarves and Orcs. It should be up (relatively) soon.

Out of curiousity, how will Balrogs be implemented?
  10. Re: Anybody seen this phenomenon before

Because according to CA, the Romans embraced politicking on the battlefield. Although if it truly were politics, it would make your soldiers fight amongst themselves.
  11. Sticky: Re: Summer is Coming ~ A bit of Good News ~ No not a release date

Most likely not. Assuming there is one the AI won't use it, and of course background scripts increase instability.

    Re: Ask Your Questions Here!

Well, I don't think there is a way to tone it down or mute it. But the music only plays in the main page of the mod, and that means the only thing it will intrude on is reading the comments there.

Good for them. But who cares?

And pray tell, are lore-accurate visuals and good visuals mutually exclusive?

    Re: Tolkien General Discussion II

First of all, I'm sorry I couldn't work on this earlier, but I have been swamped with work lately.

THE WAR OF DWARVES AND ORCS
    ...
  23. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

As someone who has been involved with theatre, I can say that I find the idea of there being a definitive adaptation/interpretation of a work rather funny.

It is actually rather easy and fun...
  24. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

So, we are on the same page then? Also, I should mention the metal mesh that the Dwarves of the Iron Hills wear in The Hobbit which is never again mentioned.
  25. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

Yes, but I believe the fact that Imrahil uses it to check if owyn is breathing suggests that it would be made of metal, and most likely plate and not mail due to the improbability of a faint breath...
  26. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

I suppose he means no breastplates/cuirasses and the like. Vabraces and greaves certainly aren't out of the question, judging by Imrahil's vambrace. Maybe even something like this for say; Imrahil...

    Re: Tolkien General Discussion II

I found someone comparing Tolkien's work and it's general themes to modern fantasy and I thought you guys might like it. I think it is from a review of Children of Hurin, but I am not sure though.

    Re: Tolkien General Discussion II

Well, you can if you follow the literary thought school of Death of the Author, but that isn't relevant to the current matter.
  29. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

I don't believe things like the Dragon Cult backstory to Rhn were done because of the restrictions imposed by game mechanics and the engine.

..I suppose it works for you, but I wouldn't go as...
  30. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

TATW is an example of lore accuracy? Since when?
  31. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

Screw the safe option. If I were a dev I'd follow my vision, not what is popular. And who knows, maybe my vision would become popular one day as well. I don't think 'safety' matters as much in...
  32. Re: What you enjoy? From Rome 2 Middle Earth Dev.

Yeah, because we need yet another movie mod. As if all the popular mods being movie-based wasn't enough.
