As the factions are displayed on one line the more I add the more they overlap. If all were playable it would be impossible to click on any of them.
Can you provide a link to this information as according to my regions.esf I have 255 settlements and 310 regions (including seas and no go areas). I just want to know how much I might need to cut to...
Unfortunately I don't know why this is happening. If might be due to a lua file but I don't know how to fix this.
Due to an error Uesugi was removed. I'll add it back as soon as I can.
We'll look into those suggestions but as I'm not making the ship models I don't know if those changes will be possible.
Changing the icons shouldn't be too difficult.
The Chongtong and the...
Recently I've been working with ParkSteve and bigwavek to make the Korean faction more accurate; including an updated unit roster and some changes to the building trees. As this update is nearly...
For those wishing to download this tool it's on Taw's Github page:
https://github.com/taw/etwng/tree/master/esfxml
It's written like an esf file, so it can be unpacked like an esf file.
That's odd as the only change in the 3.0 version was making more factions playable.
Yes. I made new naval cannons so they fire correctly.
I think it's something more than that as the names of the settlements don't appear and the radar doesn't work correctly. Though rivers, roads, and borders do work even though they're rigid_splines....
It's awaiting authorisation:

I've tried remaking the links so they should work.
Making the map 1280 by 1280 didn't fix this problem. Though it is interesting to know that I can make the map this large.
I have no plans to increase the size of the map in this mod as due to the...
3.2 update: I remade the map files so that when any faction sieges Ganghwa-yusubu in Korea the mod won't crash. Also the trade routes now work. This update is NOT save game compatible.
For those...
After Shogun2 crashes an mdmp file is created in the "total war shogun 2" folder.
Using this website you can read what this file says and hopefully learn why your mod has crashed....
3.1 update (11th June 2021)
Added in a line of code in a DB table so that the Jurchen Siege Workshop now appears, allowing them to recruit gun units.
To get this fix redownload the ming.pack.

Thank to Sara Temer discovering how to make more factions playable it is now possible to...
I guess I could use factions that aren't too close to playable regions. Though most of the nomadic factions are generic because I never expected them to be playable. It would be helpful to know...

I added a guide for adding buildings.
Here's a guide:

Library / tools / TWS2
Then open my mod with Pack File Manager,, find the DB tables in the guide, and edit them.
Try reading this guide:

I can provide you with a guide that explains how to rename a faction.
If you want a mod with Takeda then you'll need to make it.
That clan was detroyed in 1582 by Oda Nobunaga and this mod is set after Oda Nobunaga died at Honnō-ji. So Takeda cannot be included.
Each agent uses a different attribute associated with them, for example Monk's use zeal. It's possible that you can't use other agent's abilities without the right attribute.
Did you update...
Try editing the DB table uniform_to_faction_colours. This will allow you to change the faction colour for just this unit.
This mod conflicts with a lot of other mods. Try playing it without any other mods.
In theory you can use it but you'd need to completely remake the startpos to change which factions control where.
That's due to a flaw in the early versions of the ming.pack, not a conflict with the other packs. So the old versions of the other two packs won't fix this.
I could try uploading a later version...
All those packs are the correct size. Is something specific missing from this mod?
Unit parts are in the Ming units pack and the new land is in the Ming map pack. Have you selected all 3 pack...
I thought ticking the box that said "can_trade" would fix this issue but for some reason it doesn't. Not sure what is causing this issue since everything seems to be correct.
Trade nodes are...
Do you have alll 3 parts? The third part adds new land.
I did fix the DB table but forgot to included the latest version of this mod. I've updated the ming.pack to include the fixed version.
I'm not sure why the trade routes aren't working. I thought I fixed the DB table that controls which ships are trade ships. I'll have to check it.
I'll have to check it out.
Have you tried renaming the mountain to Mountain01? It can cause problem if you have a mountain called Mountain91 but don't have 90 other mountains.
I don't know if it's compatible with Mac.
