    Re: Imperator Augustus: Faction Reveal

Would like to see Marcomanni being playable too :/
  2. Re: recruitment should effect city population like in rome 1

There shouldn't be only city population but region population as in Empire too so that you could draw recruits from it. Otherwise, if we really take a look at Rome 1, Segesta has a population of 400...

    Re: Client state levy troops.

I don't understand what is the point of having a vassal in this game if you can't annex it diplomatically later on.

No, but it's convenient. As you can see it's still better than just all being "Celtic".

Yeah. Sometimes you get so worked up overthinking everything in EUIV that you might want to relax with something simplistic and shiny like that :)

    Re: Building system

Alright, I can see your perspective. Personally, I think the fact that a FARM removes 10 public order is a beyond ridiculous way to limit your building options. It just doesn't really look like real...

    Re: Building system

It's not possible! It doesn't work this way. If you want to upgrade the buildings, you have to build the exact same thing everywhere. You build only food and public order and that's it. You can't...

    Re: Building system

Thaty's not correct. I didn't make a mistake. I developed every single building in every single city out of a 140 cities to the max. I ended up with 20 food.

    Building system

So I've got one complete campaign on vanilla and went back and tried to get all the buildings in each city to the last level. It's just a thing that I like to do with every campaign in every Total...

    Re: Rome 2 humour thread

Actually this would've been pretty good if it was trolling. I already knew there were going to be tons of these jokes the second I saw the name of the DLC.

Re: Why No Playable Gallic Faction in HATG?

There are like 20 playable factions already. HatG could've had only Carthage and Rome playable. I was surprised they're even adding others. Am I the only one seeing the absurdity here?

    Re: Unit Spotlight: Stealth Units

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it's a marketing thing, or a response, trying to show that the game's not as dumbed down as it's perceived to be, that the battles involve complex tactics or...

Re: Should diplomats make a return ?

I'm pretty sure that kings would know where the neighboring countries would be. And countries weren't isolated or something. There was this thing called trade, you know.

Is that a joke? The diplomacy system in Rome 2 is the best there ever was in a Total War game - no other game is even close in features and options! I think CA could have got an idea or two from...

Re: Should diplomats make a return ?

Playing this game involves tons of unnecessary micromanaging (not that it's intended, it's just bad design) - it's not fun and it doesn't add to its complexity. Having to manage another agent won't...

  28. Poll: Re: Stances Suck - Remove them from next game please

I don't get it. What's the actual problem with forced march stance? That everyone can move the same the same distance? That's obviously not true. Or that the AI's misusing it? But that would be an AI...
  29. Re: Interesting article about ancient elephants that should be implemented in the game.
