The various barbarian factions have always been my favorite in RTW II so I can't wait to see this incorporated into the main mod. Keep up the good work!
Alright, well I did find something that definitely IS a bug: Leugoz have no way to recruit their skirmisher cavalry (Gaisoz Ridanz) in the campaign.
As Maurya I was still taking desert (summer) attrition while attacking the Seleucid satraps even though I had a baggage train. the little UI indicators acknowledge that I have one, but it didn't...
Getting back to playing a bit of DeI and I was just wondering if the team has/is considering adding one of the alpine gauls as a playable faction, think it'd be pretty neat. Noricum as you all...
Armenia's reskin looks cool as hell, having fun playing them. I did notice some of their generals are missing their swords in-battle.
Someone must have reported this already but just in case: the Medewi's new archer unit doesn't show up in the custom battle roster.
Think that maybe if/when the issue of the super-powered camels is addressed they might be fleshed out a little more. Kinda lame that Rome gets the best camels in the game (Dromedarii) and not Saba or...
I like the period and the factions involved, but I wouldn't even consider playing Rome II without DeI's combat. Just can't go back. Would be cool to de-roman Italy as the Samnites though. ;)
Did you delete the fixpack for the family tree update? My launcher/steam kept crashing, but once I deleted that it worked again.
Well it seems like all the arabian camels are that way, I haven't tried the Bactrian camels. The Saba, Nabatea, and the mercenaries. Doesn't seem to matter if they're missle or the melee type.
Concerning Saba's campaign, it really sucks that the other arabian factions get the elite bow/spearmen unit immediately and just make like 6-7 of them since they aren't restricted by population. They...
Yeah, so I did more testing with the camels, they're way more broken than I thought. They beat Saba's most elite, top-tier spearmen in a straight melee. I have no idea what could possibly be causing...
Yeah, I just tested the camel thing with 4 melee camels (4 armor) vs 4 Gunud haMadmanakha (spearmen with 14 armor) and just headlong charging them the camels win easily and take almost no casualties.
I don't think bonus vs cavalry is applying correctly against camels. Several times now I've had spearmen fight camels in a straight on fight and lose in prolonged melee. This is with Saba.
EDIT:...
Wow, checking on this thread after seeing it go up a while ago. the work you've done looks awesome and I hope to see them in DeI at some point.
The forts really suck, unfortunately. That's another thing that CA put more thought into in Attila than they did in Rome. You can actually move around in the forts in Attila!
So are you supposed to be able to recruit thueros units immediately as Epirus or is that a bug?
Think I might have seen this one reported already, but Tectosages Rigeprodes are missing their swords
Was wondering if shifting your capital should have some temporary effects of some kind, or if that's possible at all, so it would serve some purpose besides RP and make spending the 5000 gold worth...
Where exactly do you recruit Boii Sword Masters? Can't seem to locate them. I'm guessing the warlord's hold building?
Why do Anatolian axemen, a very low-tier axe unit, require a tier 3 barracks for recruitment? One of Pontus' huge problems is that have so few usable units to start with, and the ones that don't suck...
Curious why the Getae Falxmen are a reform unit. As far as I understand it, the falx was a farming tool used by the dacians that they repurposed as a weapon, so I'm assuming it wouldn't take going to...
Steal/poison provisions doesn't seem to work at all. Any army I sabotage to prevent reinforcement still reinforces.
Honestly the night warriors suck as archers (4 shots per minute) but are awesome as a melee-missle hybrid. However, this means the Boii have really weak ranged damage unless you rely on german...
camels seem abnormally resistant to spearmen. Melee camels seem to be able to beat the arabian spearmen-archers in melee straight up, despite 5 bonus vs cavalry.
Yeah, the summers and blizzards can be brutal when they hit at the wrong time and also makes having stable garrisons really inconsistent since the replenishment rate for them is already really bad....
Yeah, DeI definitely makes this game worth playing. Rome II is pretty much my least favorite TW without DeI, but my absolute favorite with it. I'm honestly glad that CA still cares enough to actually...
I was wondering if the celtic lonchophoroi phalanxes have an attack advantage compared to the short spear phalanxes, like celtic champions. Is it like pikemen vs hoplites or is it just aesthetically...
Seems pretty tough to keep your faction stocked with generals in this version of the game. Haven't had a chance to bring in a new person as Getae as my general is aging, and adopting people is harder...
Well yeah it's a bug, but I figured it's probably caused by the beta not the mod, so I posted it here.
And I just now "Assassinated" the same guy again and he's still alive so that's pretty weird.
Anyone else noticed enemy agents being "Assassinated" but they're just still alive for some reason? It's happened to me twice already.
I get that it's kinda limited how units can be accurately represented in Rome II, but the Sparabara still seem weird to me. As far as I understand it, the shield-bearers were just a screen for the...
It absolutely tanks sometimes when two armies confront each other, like when the two dudes representing the armies are facing each other, but other than that it seems mostly the same.
EDIT: It...
Kartevelian guerilla warriors don't seem to benefit from the "Accomplished archers" army tradition. Their javelinmen seem to, but not the archers.
Scordisci Kartovas don't show up in custom battle.
Level 2 of occupied Bibracte doesn't consume food, but level 3 does. (Playing Massalia)
Nabatea definitely has the best roster of the two Arab factions. I honestly don't even know what Saba's best unit is supposed to be besides the heavy armor archer-spearmen.
I think Kaledonoi has...
So what's the solution to enemy hoplites just "Walking through" my hoplites? It's making playing Massalia a nightmare because the Roman Triarii just walk right through my best units and inflict like...
Medewi's chariots don't have the "Mighty knockback" trait like it seems every other chariot does, might be an oversight.
