I can't launch it. I have it subscribed in Steam, but it doesn't appear to be launching.
Greetings.
First of all, how do I gain control over the candidates?
Second, is influence generated per turn and how do you folks find is the best way to spend those influence points?
thanks...
You can delete missions in the mission tab. The Oda as an ally is part of the mod, and it's a good thing because they have your back. Personally I prefer it to being the Imagawa's b***hes.
I need unit stats and all there is is a blank page.
Any help would be appreciated.
At the end of the day I stuffed up the game, it crashes when I try to play it. So now I have to reinstall it. The best laid plans of mice and men, I suppose.
Next release?

Trigger SelfperpetuatingGamesHaterRomanVice

Rare, but not common is fine with me. As to the syntax/spacing, I understand that's necessary for the text file.
Thanks, will give it a try.
I see. So it could look like this:
Trigger SelfperpetuatingGamesHaterRomanVice
WhenToTest CharacterTurnEnd
Condition Trait GamesHaterRomanVice > 0
and RandomPercent < 2...
OK. I'm new to this so bear with me.
I go into export_dscr_character_traits.txt and found this:
Trigger SelfperpetuatingGamesHaterRomanVice
WhenToTest CharacterTurnEnd
Condition Trait...
I think I understand. Where do I add the bit "and RandomPercent < X" in the text?
Thanks very much, BTW.
Excellent, thank you for the reply.
I see you have two entries for the export_dcr files. Should I copy and paste the second one?
Seems even if my gov's are building field of martial games or related buildings, the trait is spiralling out of control in my current game. Almost half hate the games, and making it impossible to...
There was a guide to understanding the Roman elections. Where is it?
A couple of weeks ago I asked about the next release. "Months" was the reply. Thanks for that....
Would the request for a "rough estimate" be asking too much?
I've seen photographs of depictions on Greek pottery showing older men fondling adolescent boys, and others showing actual penetration. Granted, not sure if the depictions of penetration were...
Hmmmm.....interesting...... "what this game needs is more man-on-boy butt sex!"
Nah.
The ancients were more relaxed about sex in many ways- the Romans being the only exception that pops to...
How do you plan to handle the question of succession and family trees, considering that RTW2 did away with the family tree?
You can please some people some of the time, displease most people some of the time but you can never please all the people all of the time.
I'm pretty sure the EB 2 lads have pretty thick skins...
Are the Polybian Reforms included in this release?
As far as a pacification strategy goes, I have always demolished what foreign culture and military buildings that don't give a significant...
Thanks for getting back so quickly. I'm vacationing in France at the moment so I can be patient in any case.
Now that the Beta is out, how much time can we reasonably expect to see before the next release? I was planning on waiting for the release that includes the reforms before I download it.
The German mercenary cavalry that ur-Lord Tedric mentions as well as other cavalry that you can recruit (if you don't upgrade selected barracks') are more than adequate in the interim.
what's the point of discussing house rules for a game you've never actually played to completion?
I always attributed that to "Fog of War". Just ask anybody who studies military history or has served in the military. Orders don't always get followed as they were intended, for many reasons.
I would offer to volunteer for playtesting, if that helps.
Don't you actually have to wait until the darn thing is out before any particular aspect of it is a 'favorite'?
there is a thread that mentions a program called CFF Explorer. I tried it and haven't had a CTD since; a wonderous thing to be sure.
...
Not sure if autosave causes ctd's but it clearly causes save corruption. Go into preferences and change AUTOSAVE:TRUE to FALSE.
I keep two separate save files, e.g. "end.turn" and another save...
I dunno, I think that if I was in dvk901's shoes I'd consider moving on to a new challenge. As much as I love RS it may be time to move on.
That being said RTW2's battlefield stuff is inherently...
Just got to the Marian Reforms and see that the Curia Hostilia no longer allows the recruitment of the Saggitorum and various Auxilia.
What do I have to do to have access to these troops?
I'm seeing the AI flanking on both flanks simultaneously with light infantry and cavalry. Playing with Alex. Still some rock-paper-scissors stuff like spear units leaving the battle to chase a...
Well, I've played as Rome, on my third FL, taken all of Hispania, Africa Greece and the Averni are a longtime ally, and the Macedonians asked me for a peace settlement after a long war, which has...
I don't like not being able to order my cohorts to "guard mode". I've had to order several back to the battle already after chasing off some bad guys.
I'd like to see a better UI- my legionaries...
I tried the search function but no joy there.
How do I raise ninja? I see the buildings on the tech tree but can't build them in settlements.
If this works, z28Man, you deserve a nobel prize.
I auto resolve large multi stack battles where I have a better than 50% chance of success. I have fought too many big battles with a CTD afterward to risk wasting an hour of real time.
I tend to...
thanks for all your replies. I have been using "print screen", ctrl-v with irfanview with success.
>>Florin: thanks for remembering- I still haven't solved that issue using BI with RTRPE 1.7- I am able to play RTRPE with the RTW Gold CD and RTRPE.
That being said, It had occurred to me that...
I also use them to train my assassins and spies. They gain experience by doing their thing on them, too.
