  1. Re: Everything Attila has (from Rome 1) that Rome II doesn't

Thanks for that good list! I must say I've never gotten over the new tax system, which sets taxes for provinces respectively the whole faction. It's just stupid, because it was a little detail, which...
  2. Re: The Big Attila Survey - BETA and suggestions

Just took part. Got excited about the ''next TW game'' option :laughter: Though is Victoria TW and Scramble for Africa TW not overlapping? For example the South African War would fit into both.
  3. Re: Sassanid campaign music, but with arabic vocal....

In the German version, at least, they spoke German  Sorry for OT I gues, I don't really heard any vocals in the campaign music, in fact I find the music in Attila a bit TOO subtle, most of...

    Re: R2TW: Attila

Yeah Crossbowmen are just mental, almost no infantry can beat them at all! They were in use in this timeframe and spread as a new weapon in the Late Roman Empire, but they were neither a regular...

Yeah Robbie Neilson has offered his resignation after Hearts failed to score for the last 16 minutes of the match. Samefur dispray!

    Re: Europa League 2014-2015

Yeah the red card was harsh, especially in comparison. What the Feyenoord fans did in Rome was shameful, but I think the referee largely exaggerated things in the 2nd leg.

    Re: Crossbow men too powerful

They are just crazy. Almost no infantry can beat crossbowmen because they will kill your with their napalm machine gun fire before your troops are even near enough to raise their swords.

Re: Too many factions destroyed early!

Funnily enough, in my ERE campaign the Vandals were dead before the WRE or myself had even lost a single settlement :laughter:

Herculiani Seniores are the only infantry unit that I could find thus far which can beat those unrealistically overpowered crossbowmen of Ravenna, though

Re: Too many factions destroyed early!

The Rugii do exist, they start out on the Baltic Coast, where Eastern Prussia would be later:

    Re: Hibernia Units

Nice! I posted my thoughts on the Caledonians earlier:
  12. Re: Should WRE be much stronger to proper reflect history?

It's similar to the WRE in BI and the Moghul Empire in ETW. In this case, a little bit more income, higher public order in some regions (when did Iberia ever rebel during the last 3 centuries of the...
  13. Re: Sassanid campaign looks very similar to Parthia from EE !!! - game needs more diversity in the East

The Sassanids should really control a few more of the Iranian regions themselves and then it would need the Hephtalites/Kidarites in the North East, for which CA should have extended the map a little...
  14. Re: Celts (Picts, Irish, Caledonians) will almost certainly be a future DLC.

The best post I've read here recently, I really agree with that. It's a shame they cut off the Eastern border of the map, the Sassanid campaign is pretty dull really with all the vassals doing the...
  15. Re: Question about multiplayer campaigns

I also experienced that in RII campaigns before. Then we started another campaign the other week and it worked. But if the problem persists, you may gift units to your friend and thus both of you can...

Yes the Romans got them as well. There are the ''normal'' offices on the right to the family tree, which each character can climb. It starts with the Comes rei militari, you can appoint characters...

Great, here it says the steam server is down, I blame you guys :laughter:
  18. Re: Is Attila the least historical game since Medieval II (or even Rome I vanilla?)

Yeah I guess it's just another element of the ''End of the World''- atmosphere they try to create in this game. I read that one of the Vikingish factions got that ''resistance to cold''- trait, about...
  19. Re: Is Attila the least historical game since Medieval II (or even Rome I vanilla?)

Did it say how exactly it features in the game? As for your question, it only plays a minor role, if at all. Many questions remain unsolved, but there were a number of reasons behind it. The pressure...

Yeah. Of course it's a different case (lesser clubs, less income etc.) , but I still like the comparison with Queen of the South and Alloa Athletic. QotS also won the 3rd tier very comfortably with...
