No, but the map of BC 2.4 is NOT the same as in 2.3, it was significantly refreshed. Of course it includes MORE provinces now, especially in areas where new factions appeared. Also it is LARGER now,...
Vladimir-Suzadal Rus and Volga-Bulgars :thumbsup2
I'm so glad you are moving forwards! But is there a chance that you present the Zengids in a traditional way (list of units with pictures and descriptions, starting territory, a bit of history...
I haven't said my last word about it ;) I am not going to quit modding. To be honest right now I'm thinking about making my steppic project smaller in terms of geography (at least for the first...
I love the mod's idea, I hate shrunken map's range. But I will look how this one develop in the future.
Clean job Karaislam, very aesthetically. In what mod can I see your units in action?
I don't see it working. I mean Antioch in reality occupied a small land in second half of XIIc. Then there will be Zengids in the next version of BC and they will be located just behind Antioch in...
Yeah, the mod is on hold but these days I'm trying to get back in the modding buisiness so everything is possible :) Right now I'm installing again Medieval2 and looking around on TWC to see what has...
Speaking about the units, I cannot verify their historiocity, but aesthetically they look marvelous! I join the request for English translation of this promising mod.
Sure. Silesia and Greater Poland provinces are definitely smaller then they were in reality. But my greatest concern is related with your East - what is Abbasid Caliphate doing there and where are...
Oh I will write here shocking but true thing about the Iraq capitol. THE SETTLEMENT SHOULD NOT BE CALLED BAGHDAD! Its true name in Ummayad+Abbasid period was Madinat as-Salam - in translation...
But why? Why all the factions must have plenty spear units? Here is the challange and gameplay uniqness - play a faction that lack diversity in spears! Every faction got its own Achilles' heel -some...
But why Anatolian terrain is so flat? Also, so many PSFs there but terribly lack of provinces... For example, where is the great Constantinople? Also, there is not even single river there. No trade...
The thing is that:
1. We will wait a long time for BC 3.0 map (I guess around a year, but the truth is known only to BC members and I suppose they won't make any declaration)
2. BC 3.0 map already...
Surely the quality is typical for Caudillo - really good. But I miss something in those units, originality perhaps? Caudillo Roman units is a different thing, they are not only of high quality but...
The units are almost clones. I mean the diversity within unit is badly poor. Also BC already has Daylami Heavy Infantry.
If I remember correctly the factions list for BC 3.0 included 29+1 factions so there was one free slot. I suppose Uyunids took it, right?
It is a good thing that you will refresh the old BC map. Can you reveal the changes within provinces or will you keep all the news for the big preview?
The major disadvantage of BC campaign is...
If I remember correctly you can recruit them via Silk Road building.
Well the second map also lacks some crucial rivers. For example there isn't both Amu Darya and Syr Darya - two largest rivers of Central Asia around which some greatest civilizations were built...
Those maps are really interesting! And I must say that the map_textures on them are the best I have ever seen. They are lovely, very realistic and simply perfect! Is it possible to borrow them with...
It is possible but it would be terrible close to Tripoli and Homs. If the map had greater resolution - it would look much better and also had much more sense. And if I remember correctly one guy used...
Very clean and neat job! Bring more those candies I would ask if I may ;)
Perfect! You could also repair the recruitment of some units which are in game but from some reason doesn't exist in recruitment. There is a topic about it somewhere in BC major section. For example...
Wait, 11th October 2013? That would be soooo great :) Anyway I will also miss the BC AoR which made the game more realistic and harder. Maybe you could consider making two versions of your sub-mod 1-...
Well when some day you would want to improve Kypchaks or Khwarezm or Ghurids (though Ghurids roster is lready pretty strong) or even Abbasids - let me know as I have some good knowledge in this area...
I'm so glad you are still progressing and still showing nice quality work! Just keep it up.
Interesting stuff here. I hope you will strenghten the Islamic side too just to keep the balance. +rep
I have to complain about settlement density. Before Mongol Invasion Central Asia was much more developed then Europe while here we can see the opposite. Very unhistorical. Also to be honest I'm not...
