Hello folks
Has there been any announcement regarding patches for this game? My decision on whether or not I will purchase and play this hinges on if the developers will fix some of the glaring...
Hello folks
Can't help but vent some disappointment at this game. They had the perfect canvas and somehow managed to spoil it. Here are a list of issues I've had in my first hour:
Campaign map...
New footage has emerged of Barbarian Invasion and Alexander and I must say I am somewhat disappointed they did not rectify the total disgrace of a campaign map that Alexander has. I wasn't really...
As already mentioned I don't think the faction limit has been revealed, we just know it's been increased. As for what I'd like to see, the Greek Cities split into Athens, Sparta and Syracuse at a...
Hello folks
I, like many others, am excited to play Rome I again but with a nice new coat of paint and optimised for modern systems. I have played Rome I since it was released 17 years ago, and...
I started Total War games in my teens and now approaching my 30s, and I can't remember last time I was this excited to play a "new" game. Old Total War but given the modern makeover. I started...
Tomb Kings do sound fun. However, I'm not willing to pay 1/3 of the game's price for one new faction. I'll definitely pick them up, but almost certainly in a sale.
Nice to know that CA are working on nonsense like this whilst the paying consumer still cannot use a product that they purchased (ahem, Norsca).
Have we gone back to not having unit numbers on cards?
An extra 17$ is the difference.
Pretty lame. Imperator Augustus was a civil war with Rome split into rival factions, and here we have another campaign of civil war with Rome split into rival factions.
I played it after all the patches were released and with a few mods to tweak some things. I'll be honest - I played one campaign as Rome and somewhat enjoyed it. Since then, however, I've not been...
Bold move by CA to go back to their biggest disaster ever made. You know the saying - you can polish a turd...
Ten years of Total War experience make me say that. And judging from the reaction on the forums here and the official site, looks like I was right.
I'm fairly confident, given CA's track record, that Mortal Empires will be a car crash upon release. No harm in waiting for a sale, patches and extra FLC to flesh out the game.
I think Warhammer is a step in the right direction for Total War, however some game design points leave me somewhat dubious. The Chaos Invasion is just a reskinned Realm Divide/Civil War, and I don't...
If CA can pull this off it will be something special indeed. Fighting the empire as Lizardmen will be awesome! I have a feeling a few patches will be needed before it's fully playable though.
...
I can openly admit I was one of the people who bashed Creative Assembly when they announced a fantasy title. However, I can now state confidently that Warhammer is the exact thing the series needed...
Thanks for replying to my thread.
Of course, Paradox levels complexity would be very unfitting, and probably detrimental, to the Total War series. Recently though, at least in EU4, Paradox have...
I regard myself as a series veteran, having played since the original Rome Total War from 2005 (though I appreciate many players surpass even me from the original Shogun!). I recently bought...
For some reason I simply cannot get into Attila the way I got into Total War games prior to Rome 2. I feel like there's no reason for me to press end turn and wait for the next turn to come around....
I find the best strategy as a horde is to settle asap. It's very difficult to build buildings and gain money, and it's painful to try and make new hordes.
What's the strategy? Am I missing...
Just bought Attila and having a blast so far. It's so much better than Rome 2 in pretty much every aspect.
I'm playing as the Visigoths and for 10 game years I've rampaged across both halves of...
The Goths in one flavour or another do seem exciting. Thanks for the suggestions.
Regards
Great suggestion, thanks. Do they get access to every Roman unit or only key ones?
Regards
Greetings,
I am a long term TW player but I have just bought Attila in the Steam summer sale and and a bit stuck as to which faction is best to play first. I'd like a moderate challenge, seeing as...
Totally not a scam.
I recently bought Attila in the steam sale though unfortunately won't be able to dive into a campaign for a couple of weeks due to an intensive course of study. Afterwards, however, I'm looking...
I bought the game plus its DLC. Hope it was worth it!
Regards
That's a great read thanks for that.
Regards.
I would very much be interested could you send me a link please.
Regards
It really is pretty poor of CA if they let this bug persist and never fix it.
Regards.
Many thanks for the response RakeinWaiting. As it happens I am waiting for a Steam sale before purchasing. It's great to hear the BAI improved, politics being made useful and it actually being...
That sounds great thank you. I hear that Charlemagne has many compatibility issues on people's machines and a latest patch has made this worse. I hope I can get it to run.
Regards
How would you rate the Last Roman and Charlemagne packs please.
Regards
I don't find Rome II very entertaining. I find the campaign map rather dull, the AI nonsensical and the battles a blobfest. Whoever has the biggest blob wins. The politics is trivial and may as well...
People like you are why this website is dead.
I remember years ago when this website was probably the largest, most active Total War community going. People usually got along. People shared mods,...
Laughably bad strawman of a post.
Nice assumption. What makes you think I am? I learnt my lesson long ago. I enjoy playing Medieval 2 and occasionally Shogun 2.
Do you know how selfish the "I can play so it's ok" argument is? And you're just assuming it's a "vocal minority"? You have NO IDEA how many people are having issues. None.
But you're OK, so...
