It most likely has to do with how the computer calculates auto-battles. Units get scored a certain number of points, or some such. Thus the units the AI purchases are the ones that have high points...

RTW I played more, but it was new. M2TW is just RTW in Medieval times, so it seemed less interesting.

However, I will say M2TW has some legs to it, and I'm hoping on for another ride.

Only time I got a vassal was in RTW 1.5. I was Macedonia and I made Selucia my vassals.

I wish I thought of it more often, but usually I just destroy them instead of attempt to make them my little...

The bug itself is you'll adopt someone and he won't be on the tree. Thus anyone who he gives birth to, marries, or adopts will not be on the tree either.

One of your adopted generals wasn't on the family tree, and later became the faction leader.

I'm pretty sure this is a known bug in vanilla

Whenever I try to do a custom battle on scottish glen it's nothing but water, and both sides are dead.
