    Re: [Decision] Loincloth group creation

Its because there's no username color associated with the loincloth award as far as I'm aware, so no need for a usergroup.

Sticky: Re: Townhall - Curial Feedback Thread

Totally separate issue, why are citizenship applications showing who voted for what? While I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, constitutionally, that is not required and could be argued...

Sticky: Re: Townhall - Curial Feedback Thread

That would only be a concern if some of them didn't deserve it, but except for Jo, who didn't get it, that isn't the case.

The question isn't only whether or not CdeC would have accepted but...

  5. Re: [Discussion] Lobbying for votes should be deemed illegal

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing the lobbying rules from proposals being extended to citizenship applications.

He reacted because his attempt to subvert the process was exposed, which is the key, not because he knew who voted for what. As I said in the proth discussion the same or similar reaction would...
  8. Re: [Discussion] Lobbying for votes should be deemed illegal

I'll agree that transparency allows both parties to check who voted for what, but what reinforces lobbying is when it isn't reported. If it was reported, then regardless of whether or not there was...
  9. Re: [Discussion] Lobbying for votes should be deemed illegal

What the egg and what's the hen in your discussion? Clearly in my post the act of soliciting votes has to come before the soliciting can be reported, so I'm unsure what you're referring to.
  10. Re: [Discussion] Lobbying for votes should be deemed illegal

No it is reinforced by people not reporting it. Whether or not the vote was transparent had the recent case done to vote and applicant failed I expect the result and reaction would have been the same.

Absolutely not since he went with Q as his patron instead of me!! :P

    In all seriousness definite support.
  15. Re: [Amendment] Clarification of/Changes to the Constitution

I'll wait and see how things go, but I will comment on one thing, most of Aquila's changes to the awards sections have already been voted on and passed in the CdeC removal cleanup bill.

    Re: Opening Old Word Documents

How do you know office won't open it? Any version of office can open any documents saved in any previous version of office. It sounds more like an issue with the USB drive than the document itself.

  18. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

Vote results aren't visible (by constitution) until after a vote is finished so this isn't relevant. The question is once a vote is completed should we see who voted for what.

    Aside from getting...
  19. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

What's that got to do with anything? The answer is no, but that's because I thought all of them deserved to get citizenship, not because I was afraid that if I voted no someone wouldn't like me.

  21. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

  22. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

There's nothing stopping the curator from showing how a magistrate voted in a particular referral without providing details of the case. You can also gauge who well a magistrate is doing their work...

  24. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

This thread and poll show nothing. The poll is critically flawed and the thread shows that a tiny minority of people are worried about something that they can't prove has ever happened or even will...
  25. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

The abolish CdeC bill was public because I requested that it be made public and the curator at the time agreed and made it so that once poll completed who voted for what would be visible.
  26. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

    Yes it was.
  27. Poll: Re: If citizenship application votes were transparent, would it affect the way you vote?

The poll is worthless, it should be either a yes or a no. I voted no.

    Re: [Decision] Curial Reports

Opposed, it can still be used to guage both Curator and Curial activity. And the who voted for what is still important for the magistrates that have referral cases to deal with.

Re: My thoughts on the CT

I see no problem as with CdeC there was no rule against a magistrate being on CdeC and voting in disciplinary cases.
