Boris Todbringer ?
Maybe the 9th lord will be Be'lakor, leading a united army.
He is quite the schemer.
Well, it's here ladies and gentlemen!
I didn't expect Cathay I must say... Curious to see what they will make of it.
I don't see Kislev being the preorder faction because you couldn't play them on the Vortex campaign.
But  am I hyped for Warhammer III ! Give me some real chaos !
From what I read, webba84 is in hotel quarantine right now so can't post preview, but there is a video on Arthedain here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhG33ePH08U.
Nice preview !
If I read it correctly, and according to my memoriesof Tolkien, Angmar will indeed control the north part of the Anduin Vale ? Should be a nice campaign, warring against Arthedin...
Aye, I was quite wrong but I don't care because I really like this preview!
I'm getting strong Thracians vibes from it too, which I do not dislike :)
If I'm not mistaken, you have not previewed :
- Arthedain
- Lindon
- Avari
- Great Rhûn
- Angmar
- Northmen
- Orcish Tribes
- Eastern something with a bit of dwarves influence
Once again, it is a pleasure to see your vision of Middle Earth :) !
I wait with great hope the Angmar preview.
So, going left to rightand top to bottom :
Gondor - Arnor - Umbar - Lindon - Woodland Realm - Dorwinion ?
Western Horde - Angmar - Harad - Rhovanion/Eotheod ? - Angrenost - Black Forest Tribe...
I just discovered this work. It's really cool!
Even if I don't know if I will play it (because  Rome: Total War diplomacy), it's a delight to watch your work and read you thoughts. Keep up the...
So, are we getting a free hero for a TWW2 faction + a new hero for the Wood Elves ?
And 3 new legendary lords ?
I tried the Hill-Men as my first campaign. I really liked the mission at the beginning, it made immersion easier.
Also, the battle map for the villages, where the army starts on a hill above said...
So much hype !
The video is really good, nice job :)
Excellent news !
Now, to choose what will be the first campaign... Eryn Galen ? Easterlings ? Hill-Men ? Everyone ?
Yes, yes, yes !
That's excellent news !
Imrik + Malus in the Dragon Islands ? This feels a bit crowded.
I'd say it's more likely to be Talabecland than Wood Elves, indicating that it is a map of the Age of Three Emperors (https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Age_of_Three_Emperors).
There were an...
Youhou! 2020 begins well :)
It's a really nice preview, and I love that you can have units from Harondor.
It's a bit weird that they kept the road built by the Numenoreans, from Fornost to Harad via Minas Tirith. But I like the old forest that covers most of Eriador.
Yeah, no. Wargs are wolves. Big wolves, but wolves. They are not big enough to support a human.
Nice work !
Maybe put some more blond guys ? A vast majority of the Numenoreans were from the house of Hador (tall blond men) and that's the same for the black numenoreans (even if by miwing...
On the matter of sorcery, here is what we can find in the lore for Angmar of old (frome H.O.M.E., Tome 12, People of Middle Earth) :
"In Rhudaur an evil folk, workers of sorcery, subjects of Angmar,...
I think it's quite interesting what you propose :).
But, correct me if I'm mistaken, I think there is no more a Rhudaur cavalry in your roster. They were quite nice.
But overall, I'm thrill with...
The choice for the first faction to be played become harder and harder :) !
The Numenorean had also mounted archers as auxiliaries, no doubt from the same stock as the Northmen.
For the woodmen living near the western fringe of Mirkwood in the Third Age, Tolkien says that...
And more than fine ! :)
Speaking of cavalry : the dwarves are not able to train cavalry, except by the use of mercenaries. What type of mercenaries are we speaking of (Rhovanion one for exemple) ?
And are there going to...
That's great news ! I did not complain when I noted that, it just didn't occur to me until now.
It's good that Rhovanion can make a difference like that. And it also good that infantry will be the...
Awesome ! It made me rewatch the preview for the Hill-men of the North.
And something that I noticed : a lot of factions are limited in cavalry.
The strategy of the Misty Mountains will be interesting with this concept. I think that an army of hundreds of snaga skirmishers will be necessary to overpower a small band of dwarfs scouts ^^.
Ouch, that looks tough !
As the three armies are humans, I guess that the orcs were mercenaries ? Or can the "evil" human faction recruit them ?
Those are Black Numenoreans in the first line against the elves, but I do not recognise the others ennemies. The first shield does not look like it comes from Harad.
Mordor ? One man can hope :).
It's in the appendices. The Dwarfs marry for love, and so if a female is marrying an another guy, the Dwarf who love her will never marry.
Great work Ngugi !
It's very nice as a reasoning and thanks for the list of names, they are going to be useful (and not just for Third Age : Total War ^^).
A polearm is a "arme d'hast". Not really simple to use unfortunately ^^. Are those men sergeants (In that case --> Sergents) ? Or men at arm (in that case --> Hommes d'armes) ? If not, I have no...
It's realy cool !
I have juste a bit of a problem with some of the names :
Halbardde Hommes : Hallebardier would be best if you mean halberd men. Ou alors Hommes à Hallebarde.
Hommes à cheval :...
So much good stuff, I'll definitly reinstall Medieval II to play this.
