just sounds like he's reading the steam page to me.
To be fair, all they said was that they wanted to know what we would like to see.
Samnite unit roster seems really good, pretty much everything I've ever wanted.
I second that! Justice for Syracuse and Athens!
The Molossians could be playable and their first task could be to unite the Epirote tribes, a la Union of Kalmar. That could lead nicely to the First Epirote intervention in Italy under Alexander in...
I agree, would have been nice to get the Phoceans, Carthaginians, an Illyrian tribe, Epirus, maybe even the Spartan intervention under Archidamus or the Aetolian. Though maybe Spartan...
That explains that, should be interesting to see what they come up with for them.
*doffs cap* Thank ye
Would have been a bit dead by 380.
Personally I'm excited for it. Playing as Syracuse, Tarentum, Etruscans. Dionysius siege engines, samnite linen legion. Alot of fun stuff to be played with.
I can't help but think that Tarchuna is an odd choice to represent the Etruscans at the time of the Gallic invasion. I would think Clusium a better choice.
Can anyone confirm if there are cross faction marriages?
Some questionsWill Tarchuna be Latin, Etruscan or Volscian? If Etruscan will that carry over into the Grand campaign through units like the Getae and Dacia in imperator augustus? Will Syracuse get...
Can you make marriage alliances between factions?
Maybe that will give us playable Etruscans on the grand campaign as well.
It would also be great to see the Samnites as playable, either in this or grand campaign.
You're probably right, though I could also see it in a Trajan or Successor wars campaign in a peripheral way.
If they're adding a new environment the only logical addition for a game primarily based on ancient Rome would be Indian jungles. Maybe Maurya Empire campaign? I suppose it could also add Kalinga...
You know something we don't?
I'd love a Mithradatic War campaign, Could add units for Rome, Pontus, Armenia, Parthia, Seleucids, Athens, Bosporan Kingdom, Colchis and add Bithynia, Rhodes, Cappadocia and Kartli as playable...
Have to agree about the Kush and archers.
I was raising "The Army of the Coast" to defend against the treacherous Nabateans. All I had were 4 Kushite Archers, 2 Shotel warriors and a Cav general...
If their trying to do something different maybe it'll be based on emerging factions rather than settled ones.
A Slave revolt faction with characters like Eunus, Tryphon and Spartacus.
The Social...
Awesome, can't wait to load it up! Ever thought of adding in Florence?
I highly doubt there will be any upgrades to the engine. As much as I would like to get family trees in game.
Probably an Arminius/Germanicus campaign to go with that Cherusci warchief picture they released.
I'd love to see Mithradates, including a larger scale map of the Eastern Mediterranean. Main focus would be on Asia Minor but you could have more of Greece and the Balck Sea region as well. It...
the Illyrian Ardiae had Queen Teuta. there were also a couple of important Cleopatras in Egypt which could be considered faction leaders, not just the famous one.
Saxons and Lombards are a certainty and Vikings are were mentioned in the PR
Hopefully they add the factions into custom battle like they did with Belisarius. It'll be nice to have Holy Roman Empire vs Belisarius Expedition vs Western Romans Empire etc
I'd try The Gothic War, by Jacobson. It's a good entry point, good read, informative. It's more war focused than Empire building but you still get a feel of what Justinian was up to on the whole.
Here you go.

I don't imagione this will be too big a problem for CA. 3 hours is not a lot of time in campaign terms, most of us will get through that on our first day, some of us in the tutorial campaign alone. ...
Could be called the Imago or Imago Standard Bearers.
Imagos were standards made to look like the Emperor, so it was a political affiliation of the Legions to the Emperor (or a rival claimant in...
I'd like to see the German Horse Guards as a general's unit for late Roman armies of shock cavalry.
Also, slave legionnaires, Volones for the early armies which can be upgraded into Cohortes...
Don't suppose the Graal Knights will be back...
Sigh, really makes me wish I could marry my Ptolemaic daughters to Seleucid princes, Or Carthaginians to Spanish and Numidians, or force the Romans into a marriage alliance to prevent my barbarian...
You see that as a bad thing? I've literally been able to finish entire games on a steam free weekend. It's not like they're forcing you to download, or auto charging your credit card the minute...
If taht's the case I'll be participating in "Make War Not Love 2" after all!
Yeah...not really interested as I already have Black Seas and won;t be buying Attila for a while at the very least.
