    I've experienced the same problem since i switched to the steam version of the game.
    Workaround: Don't use the desktop link; instead start BI via Steam client directly OR with the system tray icon...

    As far as I am concerned, I do a safegame each & every spring. Autosave is too unreliable.
    Another good hint in order to avoid crashes in total is NOT to install the game...

    Doesn't matter at all. Even in 4.0 Parthia sucks. Try to give them the Parthia region und more money. We'll see how they do then.

    Yip. Parthia is faaaaaaar too underpowered in every iteration of ExRM. In no game I've played so far, they ever stood a chance against either bactria or the ptolemaics. :(

    as far as i know ExRM 4.0 requires BI und does not run with the alexander.exe (RomeTW-ALX.exe) due to the hording features.
