Hi all,
I'm on turn 113 of an England campaign in which it crashes over the end-turn every time it gets to the Abbasids/Denmark. I'm not quite sure what's causing it as I try rearranging my...
Could anybody who has the edited/updated version of 1.0b please share a download link? :) I'd really like to gain ahold of that version of the mod.
Units look fantastic! Historically accurate and yet really cool!
Can't wait to see the end product
That all looks like great work! Glad to see a crusades-centered mod in development for such a gem of a game!
The map, the units, the settlements, everything looks amazing! As Ogmios said above, can't wait to play :)
I've personally never seen the Danish AI actually conquer much in this expansion, so I'm going to have to go with Denmark.
Honestly some of the most beautiful vegetation I've seen in a mod for Medieval 2!!! Nice work, Sirlion!
Looks really good, nicely done!
Glad to hear it's progressing! Wish you luck man.
Really beautiful-looking units, keep up the awesome work man! :D
That is really odd, I have never seen the AI send that large of a force to attack a rebel settlement without a general. I mean it's not like Russia in the game ever becomes a large power anyway...
I can understand both viewpoints here, and though personally this kind of talk in the Total War games has never bothered me, I feel like it would be the wiser move to just remove that kind of text...
I think those are all great ideas and all, but I don't know about implementing those complicated and really in-depth ideas as a submod for THIS mod. Maybe for a mod like Stainless Steel or something...
I completely agree with all the changes presented here. I could very much do all of this myself by just editing some text files, though installing Hahawks native voices mod might take a bit more...

The link on this thread seems to be dead, and the link provided by the guy in the last few recent posts is...
What a mega oOf. I believe all of us just got administered the yeet on that one. Great map though! He's releasing the 3.0 version of the Total Vanilla Beyond mod quite soon, and I can't wait for it.
Yeah, exactly! I always eventually turn Nicosia and Rhodes into cities. The great thing about the Byzantines is that their city troops are quite good in comparison to other factions' city units....
I would actually recommend the vanilla game before moving on to mods, specifically such an advanced mod like Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project (SSHIP).
For now I'd say first England...
After having played this game for 10 years, I've never fully been able to decide on a favorite faction.
I played England and the Turks a LOT when I first started playing. I just loved missile...
I have this mod, and usually the Kievan Rus get gobbled up by either the Cumans or the Mongols. I'm going Kievan Rus as well
Really cool looking Asian units! Hope the progress is going well.
I didn't realize you had taken my advice on the Reformation, and honestly I didn't think you would! Thanks man! And I'm really glad you are going to be giving the OPTION to convert (same mechanic as...
I loved seeing you restoring the Roman Empire with the Byzantines! Hope the tests went well, because they sure look like they did!
Even though you did steamroll in the end, I most definitely took...
Those new captains area great, especially for the Scottish! I just love the feel it will give them now.
I feel like a happy middle in this instance would be to just keep what is already being made by 4zumi. This is his own personal mod, after all (though suggestions can improve stuff and give ideas).
...
Hey Sirlion, I hope the project is going well. Me and several friends on steam have been following your mod for a while now, and we still support you! How goes the progress?
Unless you wish for all Western European factions to start off Catholic, then I'd recommend starting after like the 1530s when Protestantism was accepted by the English, Dutch, Scandinavians, some...
This is an amazing mod so far! I can't thank you enough for taking on this project man, and I can't wait for 3.0! It all looks stunning, and most definitely a contender for complete overhaul mods...
Ah, I see. I wish both you luck in your respective mods, and I'll be following them both :)
I'd honestly love to see Shogun's idea be brought to life in a Medieval II mod, but unfortunately, even if M.A.E. and Metal.Pigeon work together on one single project, I doubt it will ever come to...
Haha it's all good. I posted this 2 years ago man, and I now realize that you're the only person carrying this mod forward at the moment since the original creator is gone. I wish you luck in your...
How goes the project so far? I'm loving the current release so far, and I can't wait for what comes next!
Awesome looking units! Love the little details such as the back quivers and rucksacks. And yeah, I think at this stage, with the amount of work you have already completed, you should have more than...
Nice! If I had the time in real life and the energy to learn beyond just basic text editing for Medieval II, I'd totally continue this because it's really cool! Thank you though! I'll try and spread...
I don't know why I didn't discover this sooner! Love all the screenshots you've shown us so far, and I hope you end up taking your time to release your best work. Great job!
Amazing-looking units as always dude. Can't wait to see the finished product!
There are enough mods that take place in the 1400s, and not enough that take place in the 1500s, the 1600s, the 1700s, or the 1800s. I think those would be better time periods to explore rather than...
Looks great! I definitely love the simplistic and arcady yet realistic vibe to the trees especially.
