  1. Re: Forlorn {A Tale of Germania} **NEW**

Great stuff, I liked the dark gritty setting you've already created and I'm excited to see where this may go.

@McScottish I must disagree with you about putting it in the AAR forum. Currently, and...
  2. Re: The Road To God Is Paved With Sins [Updated: 21/07/2014]

Another great chapter I love how Wymond went from this cocky teen to this fearful kid so quickly! I'd give you rep but I need to spread it around first!
  3. Re: [SS 6.4 AAR] Chronicles of the Norman Game

Great work I loved the bit with the girl I thought that was well done indeed
  4. Re: [SS 6.4 AAR] Chronicles of the Norman Game

Were the characters in this chapter, created by the people who signed up or are they your creation m?
  5. Sticky: Re: Writers' Study Chat and Feedback - Ask all your questions here!

A shogun 2 AAR? Shogun 2 is a really good game for AARs if you put in the effort to learn the culture. Read robin's Takeda AAR it is an utter masterpiece and will give you loads of tips
  6. Re: The Road To God Is Paved With Sins [Updated: 15/07/2014]

Wow great stuff, McScottish. I am kicking myself I did not notice this early. I already love this story, you've created. Cant wait for more.

 The Master is Back

I have a similar situation here though a fair bit of me not being on here is I'm too lazy to quit CK2.
  9. Re: [SS 6.4 AAR] The Chronicler - The Norman Game

Sounds great are you going to start it before they won at Hastings or after?
  10. Re: In the Light of Dusk - Chapter Seven Updated 10/07/2014

The first one was fine but the second one for me was a tad too dark. Also I personally feel closeups are better than large sweepings of the battle because it gives more of an accurate representation...
  11. Re: In the Light of Dusk - Chapter Seven Updated 10/07/2014

Great chapter and I liked how despite his longings for vengeance and his anger over the past chapters, Nobunaga seems to be disgusted with what happens in war when he comes face to face with it. I...
  12. Re: In the Light of Dusk - Chapter Six Updated 6/07/2014

I am dearly sorry my friend for my long absence but certain events in real life have left my slightly disinterested in writing and TWC but I vow to turn things around.

    So far, this has been...

After mulling over a coffee I got some more ideas. I was thinking about doing possibly the War of Spanish Succession, a war between two major dynasties of the time-the Bourbons and Hapsburgs over...

    Story ideas needed

Wow, it has been too long since I have visited this part of the forum. Come to think of it, it has been too long since I visited the forum in general. I could rave on for hours about stuff but...
  17. Re: The Other End of the Quill Commentary

I feel I too can somewhat relate to some of the stuff you were saying though for me, novels and serials I feel are much more my forte. I have lost many hours planning out future instalments to my...
  18. Sticky: Re: Writers' Study Chat and Feedback - Ask all your questions here!

I must agree with f0ma on the point about the Roman Empire being overdone. Not so much for Empire, but it is definitely an over done one in the M2TW forums. I like the idea about Georgia though, it...
  19. Re: In the Light of Dusk - Chapter Three Updated 3/1/2014

Mon cher ami, Tigellinus, je suis désolé. (excuse my poor french I'm taking French at school and so every now and then i might resort back to trying French!)

I feel bad for being away for so long,...
  20. Sticky: Re: Writers' Study Chat and Feedback - Ask all your questions here!

CK 2 is an absolutely fantastic game and I second everything Tigellinus said. I myself was hesitant when I bough both EU4 and CK 2 for myself for Christmas (best $40 ever) and while there is a steep...
  21. Sticky: Re: Writers' Study Chat and Feedback - Ask all your questions here!

It feels like such a long time since since I have been here and I have missed it very much but real life can be such a pain sometimes, a tiring, exhausting pain. But how is everyone, still writing I...
  22. Re: Way of the Bow:A Chosokabe AAR-(Updated Chapter XIV 17/1)

Thank you for the kind words and rep but sadly it might be a nearly a fortnight before i can get another chapter up, possibly even more:no: My gaming computer just won't turn on. Maybe this AAR is...
  23. Re: For King and Country (Great Britain AAR) [Updated: January 27]

It seems the last victory might not be enough to hold off the Spanish. I fear there are tough times ahead for the British Empire. The naval battles screenshots were really well done as ever. Good...
  24. Re: The Road to Kyoto ~ A Shogun 2 RotS AAR (If you can even call it an update...)

I will set my alarm then and go into hibernation :laughter:

This last chapter was one of your best though. The dialogue with Tadahira was interesting and felt very natural, just like dialogue...
  25. Re: In the Light of Dusk - Merchant, this is for you.

The Eagle has landed! Two excellent chapters, I think you have already created an epic character in Nobunaga. If I believe correctly he was historically said to be a bit on the angry side.

    The...
  26. Re: The Road to Kyoto ~ A Shogun 2 RotS AAR (If you can even call it an update...)

More like lining up at the shop to get a game only for it to be Rome 2:laughter:

Jokes aside, good to see this is back up and running again. I have a small feeling that something is going to...

Re: [R2TW AAR] Aulus Livius Libo

First off, great work. Loved the introduction to this AAR and the battle scenes were very well done. The pictures were excellent as well. I am indeed excited about where this story is going to take...

  31. Re: The Wings of Destiny - a FotS AAR (Updated Chapter 3 - Jan 19)

  32. Re: I Was A Slave - One man's tale set in the mists of antiquity [Updated: 18/01/2014]

I thought the title "One man's tale set in the mists of antiquity is give away to what period you are in. Or maybe I am missing something:hmm:
  33. Re: I Was A Slave - One man's tale set in the mists of antiquity [Updated: 18/01/2014]

Wow, I know already this is gonna be a really interesting story. You'll get lots of inspiration from New Zealand, they still keep slaves!

On a more serious note, I love that you're not going to...
  34. Re: Extra maps for shogun 2 campaing?

There is a mod on the steam workshop called better maps for campaign. It is actually pretty good and some of the maps are better than the vanilla ones. Part 1 is here and part 2 here

    Hope it...
  35. Sticky: Re: Advertising Board - Subscribe to get the latest updates.

Chapter 14: Offence is the best defence is out of my AAR, Way of the Bow:A Chosokabe AAR. Find it here, over in the desolate(though possibly soon to be abundant) Shogun 2 AAR sub forum.
  36. Re: Tips on writing in the first person

I find writing in first person harder than third person. Why? Because while 1st person allows you to explore the emotions and feelings of a main character more deeply than 3rd person, it is somewhat...
  37. Re: Way of the Bow:A Chosokabe AAR-(Updated Chapter XIII 2/1)

Sorry for the delay people. I was hesitating as I was unable to add the pictures I want due to another incapacitation of my computer which has my game on it. In the end I decided I would upload the...

  39. Sticky: Re: Writers' Study Chat and Feedback - Ask all your questions here!

Well for new writers its really intimidating especially if you up against seasoned veterans. Most new members don't see it as a competition that they can win and so don't bother with entering
  40. Re: [SS 6.3] Raiders across the Sea: A Denmark AAR

Your chapters always seem to bring a smile to my face. Yet again, some funny stuff here especially liked the bit at the end.
