i always use the semi-circle, which most of the time ends with the battle becoming cannae-style...for the enemy...works best with armoured hoplites (in vanilla)

hold ctrl and klick on all units of one type. draw them out of the army. do the same with the next type of unit, and draw them in the newly created army. continue until done.
