Uhm guys, it seems that the mod's update DOESN'T thrash savegames... I've succesfully loaded and gone through a turn of my previous campaign without apparent issues.

I've experienced the same, though i've fought only a battle against unwalled cities. If it's an issue and not a casual event i suggest to auto-fight those battles; usually that kind of settlements...

I love the unit minefield, it saved so many castles in my Uesugi campaign. Expecially effective against naval invasion when your main armies are very far.
This. I found AI to be pretty reliable in my Uesugi long campaign: Oda stayed on my side even after i became Shogun, declaring war on me only when i invaded Shinano (the last enemy stronghold).
