    Re: Grand Theft Auto V - September 17th, 2013

IMHO, action-based games tend to play better with a controller than the old mouse & keyboard combo. And you can turn off the auto-aim if you so please. Not that the shooting part of GTA is done...

Re: Assassin's Creed V (No, the location/era has not been announced yet)

Exactly. Usually it's a lot easier to just butcher everyone in sight than try to be stealthy. And the game sort of nudges you towards open combat more often than not. AC Liberation did have the...

    Re: Grand Theft Auto V - September 17th, 2013

Aside from the stuff already mentioned, i was disappointed by the fact that you couldn't buy new safehouses. I mean, WHY???. It makes no sense.

The businesses you can acquire are also mostly...
  5. Re: Obsidian's Pillars of Eternity 'not due in first half of 2014', needs more time

Absolutely. MotB featured pretty much the only realistic (personality-wise) characters in any NWN release. And the story is so many miles ahead of NWN2 itself (which was indeed an abomination in many...

    Re: DA3 Announced

Since EA have an exclusive right to make SW games until 2023, nothing is actually stopping them from making/outsourcing a single-player KOTOR.

    Re: DA3 Announced

Most people had a problem with TOR not because it was a bad game in itself, but rather since it denied them a "proper", single-player KOTOR RPG (I'm one of those people...). Although in all fairness,...

Went with Iorveth. Mainly because I aided the elves in W1 and so it seemed logical to continue on the set course.

    Riddick of course.

And the other guy from the second film (the one who burnt himself to death)
  11. Re: What are your RTR 7.0 questions? Let us know!

I don't get it. I mean, RTR is a mod for a video game. Surely there are better things to do with your life (no offense to devs, i'm on a mod team myself) than to stare at your PC and wait for it to...
  12. Re: What are your RTR 7.0 questions? Let us know!

    Oh no, dear boy.

No mods reveal their release date. Mostly because they don't know it.
  13. Re: Navy SEAL or Army Special Forces (Green Berets)?

The special forces fellows sure are tough. A few years back there was a story in a newspaper about a guy who had been a black beret (Ranger) in the U.S army for a long while. Well, the guy (then over...

  15. Re: What are your RTR 7.0 questions? Let us know!

The map will be ''stretched'', which means greater distances between cities.
That should translate into more field battles.

Bah, that's not historical at all.
Working with several historians, we have discovered that all Germans looked like this:

    Re: A feature from EB.

    Excatly.
Plus, the filthy rich AI has a tendency of recruiting many merc-only armies. A fun example: i beat an AI general's stack, but he survived and retreated. The next turn, he reappeared with 16...

Re: Do you think that MTW2 is Realistic or not?

Quite honestly i wouldn't care if they put the Terminator and some dark elves in it, as long as it's challenging and interesting to play.

    But it's not
    Just my opinion, of course
  19. Re: The Future of Total War, Total Realism: A Vision

  24. Re: What are your RTR 7.0 questions? Let us know!

    Will there be voicemods?
Also, will there be new pre-battle speeches, as was advertised earlier?
  25. Re: The Future of Total War, Total Realism: A Vision

I play EB right now (always on Medium battle diff), which means i usually have about 5 crappy levy units against an enemy full stack. Somehow i doubt the AI can handle that
  26. Re: The Future of Total War, Total Realism: A Vision

In some mods, letting the AI fight fro you isn't an option, since you just can't afford the artificial stupidity getting your army killed - some examples being EB and 77bc; if you lose too many units...

  29. Re: The Future of Total War, Total Realism: A Vision

I honestly don't want to see roman politics, or, for that matter, anything else about them. Always when there's a game (or a movie) about the ancient era, the developers put 90% effort into the...

  33. Re: What are your RTR 7.0 questions? Let us know!

    1. will Spartans have armor?
    2. will there be (re-)emerging factions?
    3. will the Senate be included for the factions mentioned earlier? If it is, does that mean ''vanilla-style'' Senate missions?...
