couldn't have said it better.
like i said, it doesn't have to be as crazy as wiping out the faction. just more penalties that are significant and all, so capitals would really mean something...
hmm, what is this imperator and submodding thingy??
do you mean that there are mods for a mod, i.e. a mod for RTRPE?
if so, what are these mods, which of them are the best and where should i...
wow, the 2nd to the last post is nearly like two years ago, lol!
but anyway, since this thread was brought from the dead again anyways, what difficulty would you guys suggest to play on RTRPE? i'm...
no help? :(
ok so to make it clearer, when you say "archive" a file, that simply means you save it somewhere just in case you might need it again, right?
in step 2, i'm really confused....
well, i've done a search about this but got nil results.
so anyway, i was thinking that capitals should get more importance or significance in the game. i dunno, but since rome they did nothing...
... so what you're saying is i should extract all of these to the main rome folder, or the RTRPE main folder itself?
sorry, but im still kinda confused especially with sinuhet battle formations....
so i made a clean install of rome, updated to 1.3 and then 1.5, downloaded RTR Platinum v1.9 and the optional add-ons pack.
so i read the readme, and i had trouble with regards to the sinuhet ai...
aight, thanks for the answers.
and yes, i've heard 7.0 will be based on BI, updated to 1.6.
and when will rtr7 come out? i've seen posts about it being developed since last year...
anyway, so just to make things clear, say, i have v. 1.5 of rome, so all i hafta do is dl the platinum...
noob question.
whats ctd?:(
sorry if it's been mentioned, but is there any mod out there that properly fixes the crusades? cuz like countless topics have said, it just doesn't feel like it...
or do we hafta wait for...
okay, here goes...
1. first and most importantly, excellent AI behavior ( in other words, a mod with UAI integrated).
2. realistic campaign, slow and more provinces.
3. if possible, battles...
wait can anyone explain to me what's the difference of the mongols and timurids historically?
cuz as far as my history knows, they were both from the same united empire of genghis khan... and when...
hmmm i gotta agree with the people in terms of yes, you have GOT TO play rome if you still haven't. it is a great game.
however, as much as i hate to be the odd one out, i do like M2TW too, just...
hmm ok, so i'm thinking if i should play first with vanilla 1.2 but with UAI, or should i jump straight to a mod?
oh... so im wondering, if you play one of those three mods, when you dl it, is the UAI already packaged with it?? or is the UAI mod a different file and a separate dl (if ever i dl for example, RtJ)?...
oh ok. another question, is there a "plain" UAI mod? one that you can install into vanilla? or do you need to dl one of those three mods to get to play the UAI?
err, a little question.
what's the difference of UAI mod to the other three you mentioned? LtC, stainless and dous le vout? do they fall under UAI or something? or are they just more than one...
thanks, this should help quite a bit
noob question:
speaking of marriage alliances, what's the point anyway? is there any difference from a normal, diplomat-instigated alliance?? cuz i've always had weird (typical M2TW AI behavior...
lol garnier, islamic factions are waaay too few and underrated, if ever CA will add more factions i vote for more action in north africa and the middle east. you want many, look at the differently...
did you do "save as..." instead of "save" only? because i've the same problem too if you click "save." just click "save as...", click yes that you're sure to overwrite, then voila... a saved...
a little bump on this thread should do the trick
some dude named aristocrat posted this in the FAQ, and i'm really interested in fiddling around with these indeed. while i know where the faction_standings are (i've actually modded them to my own...
... as in to what timescale do you set your game to? i'm asking this cuz im wondering what would be the best... 2years a turn is definitely outta the question since it's waay unrealistic and too...
vassal system sucks, even in rome it sucked. and i really REALLY find it annoying when random weak factions ask me to be their vassal, when at the same time i've crushed their army and economy...
uhm, wait for the expansion, Kingdoms.
and i'm wondering how come no one mentioned that
