    TATW is not Medieval 2 though, TATW is a submod for Medieval 2, thus the moderation to the submod's forum ;)

    Take them out with archers, spearunits and units who have armour piercing (Orc Maulers and Mordor Halberd in Mordor's case), and it's not to bad.

    Use the cheat code to win for this case? It's not your fault it bugs, and if you think you'll win anyhow; you can balance it up by deleting a unit or so if you expect it would be a costly victory.

    Unless your forces can't move, it will work fine.
    When you admit defeat trough ending battle via the Menue, the game calculate the losses as if if would been an auto-battle, and not in your favour...
