    Re: Euro Truck Simulator

I do play it occasionally, but that's already all there really is to say about it. It's not exactly a game with a lot of potential for discussion... :hmm:

Re: Book suggestions - 30YW , Northern War?

I can also recommend Peter Englund's works on the 30YW. Very detailed, well contextualized, and comfortable to read.
  3. Re: Does anybody here still play World of Tanks?

Used to play it together with the other TWC'ers from the EU clan branch, but almost everyone I know of just stopped playing it regularly at some point.
Personally, I switched over to Warthunder when...
  4. Re: What does a good Base building RTS need to be great?

I don't think it would be. If some of them dwell on "sinful" traits and behaviours like gluttony, it would even make sense for them to gather food. Depends entirely on what concept you want to use...
  5. Re: Im Looking years now for a free game with dwarfs!

Dwarf Fortress has it all. But you have to forget about the looks, and the gameplay is nothing like Skyrim etc.

It was available until 3rd of January or something. I missed out on it (and all other bonus vehicles on WoT, WoWs etc.) because I had to change residence at the end of the year. Oh well - those...

Got it the first day it was available. It's exactly the same as the standard T-62, except that it has camouflage, Soviet stars and Russian inscription painted on, and doesn't belong to any dealer....

    Lord of the Rings Online
It's been a while since I've played it, but it used to be a good game back then. If you play it in F2P mode, then you can make decent progress unlocking new parts of the...

    Re: Armoured Warfare

Yes, it's a bit wonky at times. Especially at Tier 5/6+, or when there's a single player in the team dragging everyone upwards.

Slowly crawling to it with the Chief, myself. The credit grind is rather horrible when you only play PvE and the free 7 days of premium are gone.

No, not yet. I hope they add that in the future.
  15. Re: War Thunder - F2P WW2 plane "MMO" from the makers of Wings of Prey

It should be, but as far as I can tell, it's not modelled as such in the game. That's why I have the suspicion that it's just a bad translation and should mean fuel tanks. :hmm:
  16. Re: War Thunder - F2P WW2 plane "MMO" from the makers of Wings of Prey

I'm more concerned about the Bussian Rias elements.

Tanks that load two-piece ammunition are now more resistant to ammo explosions than single-piece loaders, and an ammo rack needs a total of...

    Re: Identify that Tank/Ship/Plane/Artillery etc

Does it? Except for the barrel shroud and some details in the design (magazine well design, wooden grip, longer folding stock or smaller gun), it looks very similar to an MP40 to me.

  24. Re: War Thunder - F2P WW2 plane "MMO" from the makers of Wings of Prey

It's especially sad because the community is always giving them so much feedback that even a total idiot should be able to find a viable solution.
  25. Re: War Thunder - F2P WW2 plane "MMO" from the makers of Wings of Prey

They went and destroyed their game again, I guess? I don't know who's making those silly decisions, but even the most retarded idiot should be aware that compressing the BRs even more is a bad idea....

Re: Myths in History - what do you know?

No, they were not free from blame at all. If you look at how they handled the Congo Free State / Belgian Congo, they were just as ruthless and exploitative a colonial power as the others.

  33. Re: I don't understand our understanding of History. The numbers, logistics, just never add up.

Statistics are always a more or less dubious source for various reasons. Revan already mentioned how they don't necessarily take troop quality into account (i.e. fishing boats vs military ships)....

RP and purchase price. I never had to pay attention to the repair and ammo bills so far.
  35. Re: War Thunder - F2P WW2 plane "MMO" from the makers of Wings of Prey

I've actually switched research from the Panther line to other stuff in the (probably useless) hope that the cost reductions will return at some point. No idea why they removed them, anyway.

    Meh,...
  36. Re: War Thunder - F2P WW2 plane "MMO" from the makers of Wings of Prey

Re: How historically accurate is HBO's Rome?

It was very-well received and scored a good number of awards, so it didn't fail for that reason, at all. The reason it got cancelled was that it was simply far too expensive to keep it going.
