Hungary. I call next map BTW.
  2. Re: The "New" Frontier of M2TW Modding: Memory Editing

I like most of your list and I generally agree with increasing child limit, but only if there was a modification that varied the child count. Currently every single family will increase to 4 kids...

326: You wonder why real merchants don't stuff themselves into forts by the dozens.

  6. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

There were still quite a few imperfections (there always will be). There will always be places you can reload to get better results. It's just a matter of if it will actually gain another turn.
  7. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Thanks very much for the support!

It is very likely that I will be blitzing again to at least match the 8 turn blitz. I'm not entirely sure if 7 turns is possible but I'll give it a shot!
  8. Re: Spy and Assassin load "cheat"

    And that. :)
  9. Re: The new ''How famous are YOU on twcenter?'' game (Read OP)

2/10 Seen you once or twice.

EDIT: Sorry. Forgot about the 4th poster rule. I tried to cancel after I clicked post but no luck.

  11. Re: Spy and Assassin load "cheat"

    Agreed but CPU's don't care. :P

In hotseats, it is viewed as removing the luck element from the game and reducing it to skill. If your spies can always infiltrate settlements, you're on a level...
  12. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

I agree that cavalry are overpowered but many mods take it to the other extreme and underpower them drastically.

For me, fun is more important than balance so I stick with vanilla.
  13. Re: can you make generals live forever?

Now that I think of it you are correct. The "world" folder is the only one not save game compatible.

    Re: Loading screen glitch

LOL I didn't even know they MADE 4K computer monitors.

Considering that 4K was not even a thing until 2004 there's a very good chance that the game is not compatible with that resolution.
    ...
  15. Re: Would this be offensive?

Good luck with your mod. ;)

I echo the sentiments of all the other posters that as long as your not intentionally being racist and exaggerating stereotypes you'll be fine.
  16. Re: Rebels don't spawn around my settlements?

Deleting map.rwm is only necessary when you make changes to the map itself (e.g. editing map_regions.tga). Descr_strat and the other text files can be edited and changes will take effect by...
  17. Re: Spy and Assassin load "cheat"

Technically speaking it's not classified as a cheat. A cheat is when you open up the console.
This is more along the lines of a dodgy use of game mechanics.
As for my use of it, it depends...
  18. Re: Where is Richard the Lionheart?!?

He comes on turn 9 around Acre. Don't lose him as he has some pretty neat powers.
  19. Re: can you make generals live forever?

You're correct that there is a file with that variable in it (can't remember the name of it offhand), but no file will change data for previously saved games. Any changes you make to the game code...

    Re: MTW2 online

    Greetings RTWPiper!
I just recently got into MTW2 online and I'm loving it. There are always plenty of players in the lobby to get a game going quickly. As for the lag, I have never experienced any...

  23. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Not sure if you are addressing me or Legend but I do plan on a general campaign tips video coming out soon. Stay tuned for that. ;)
  24. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Hey In3x! It's great to hear from you! You and Legend are my primary inspirations for beginning to blitz the game. Your Sicily blitz absolutely fascinated me when I first read it. ;)
  25. Re: The "New" Frontier of M2TW Modding: Memory Editing

Lets not make jokes about that here.

    Anyway,
It's great to know that this project is still being worked on. Good luck Zarathos!
  26. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

While that may be true for some, I have always returned to the vanilla game from mods.
  27. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Yeah the Milanese are always good for nothing aren't they?
  28. Re: Diplomacy/Tributes Mysterious Expenditure! Please help!

Sorry that's the wrong link. And yes it does work. Just because it didn't work on your computer doesn't mean the product is defective.
  29. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Yeah I know he did that with the first blitz, but he probably just didn't have time with this one.
  30. Re: Diplomacy/Tributes Mysterious Expenditure! Please help!

Don't pirate the game. It costs almost nothing now anyways. $9.50 on Amazon with Kingdoms included....
  31. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Incorrect. In regions that you own, there is no difference between territory that you have previously marched on and the rest of the territory. That difference is only visible in regions belonging to...

  33. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Legend's original record was 14 turns. He didn't use any movement bugs for that one.
  34. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

    lol. :P

Watch the video series. It will make way more sense than if I try to explain here.

  36. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

Actually, LegendofTW stated he may use toggle_fow at times via console in his first video.
Yeah this really doesn't alter the gameplay so if you wanted to do it without the fow then that would be...

Re: "Who am I?" M2TW version

I see what you are getting at, but IMHO an ideal map would have few enough (or slightly more) correct guesses that one person could rep them all. If we had an easy map and left the thread open for 72...

Re: "Who am I?" M2TW version

It's not too fast. Per the rules you have 24 hours. I gave you 26. ;)
  39. Re: 106 regions in 11 turns! -- NEW MEDIEVAL II BLITZ RECORD

It probably can't. 8 turns pretty darn fast. I have a few ideas that might work to make things slightly faster, but we may have hit the absolute limit. I'll probably attempt another blitz to at least...
