Who are you playing as? Situation around your territory?
When I play as Egypt, I try to keep peace while I expand west. But then I turn south. I have tried both directions first in different games...
Same here. Love this mod!
Huge Carthage fan here. VH/N is how I normally play DEI.
Diplomacy: Be friends with everyone. You are a merchant, not a blood thirsty Roman.
Infrastructure: Shrine of Bal and Farm in every...
My friend and I have played hundreds of hours in DEI multiplayer. Submods are fine but we try to limit them, because one issue and it crashes the game or causes slow turns. We play with base DEI and...
If we are in a bidding war, then the "Rise of Macedonia, Age of Phillip", would be a great submod with the Wrath of Sparta map.
This was the man who built the army that conquered Persia and made...
Wow that was an old thread.
Not a moderator or on the team, so take it with a grain of salt.
To create more agri estates, you must switch your farms to the other option (noble estates).
This may increase your money very...
Are you launching from the Batch file?
Thats too bad the team stopped. Its a great mod! Made a few tweaks but it works great.
1. House Frey needs to be a vassal that can turn on you. That way you get credit for "owning" House Frey. Would like to see other factions like this in each region. Boltons, Florents, etc.
2. ...
Same here.
And make it standard in DEI. Shouldn’t submods be for players that want something that is not historically accurate?
I can can understand that the team decided to leave a map for those that...
Definitely having issues. No matter where I place some submods, they load in whatever order they like. Trying to load macwar_mfp_submod and it refuses to load anywhere but the bottom. Thanks
I am playing as Athens with the DEI mod and the three realism mods suggested on here. I can attest that the AI stacks very rarely have less than a silver chevron for the great majority of their...
Can anyone describe the path to the pack to edit to change the names of certain factions. As a history manager I appreciate the level of dedication but want to change some names to English....
I know this is old but this is the best place as any to ask this question...
Did the fertility bonus buildings ever make it to the mod? I just played 50 turns as Carthage and am overflowing with...
This was really cool and helpful map. IS there one for AOR units for everyone else. This is just for Roma players. Thanks a bunch!
I always wondered why scout cavalry doesn’t increase LOS. An army without scouts is blind and an army with great scouts shouldn’t be walking into many traps.
Agreed! The different main city buildings is like RTR did and is a GREAT feature! I love this DEI team!
Great job team! I like them all! No questions, just ready to play!
Thank you so much. Love Ancient Carthage!
It is sad but if there is a way, I believe you will find it. I just have to believe that CA left an opening somewhere in the group commands or something. Thank you for all your work KAM!
It was me. I thought it was an explained as a way to make the AI use a pike line to advance as one to stop the AI from moving the battle line in separate individual units. KAM stated that the AI...
So they would advance in line? The player could advance also though. Battles are too static and defensive anyway. Anyway can we get a submod to test out the AI’s battle effectiveness with this...
Can it not be set to default on?
I agree!
I tend to agree with Dresden that’s it’s something in the recruitment tables.
As far as population, yes they had a smaller supply of Greeks than many, but could recruit large amounts of Greek...
I also disband troops upon 3 chevrons and recruit the next tier. Wish they could be upgraded, then I could upgrade at whatever point, 3-4 chevrons, that I feel necessary.
The best way i have...
Did I miss a post? Ivan didn’t say anything that showed negative behavior. He and others have just stated that the game can not be just continually made harder for the few players that power their...
If it’s at the beginning maybe it is something that “already happened” or maybe the honest mistake of clicking raiding stance instead of patrol. A little raiding, rape and pillage sometimes happens...
Except the Aux barracks for Rome, but the team is adding it back in I believe.
I haven’t used artillery in a long time. Just not realistic to be used with a mobile army IMO. It should slow you down much more. If you want some units to put as garrisons for towns and cities, then...
I will Dresden. Thanks
Unfortunate KAM but I figured the same. Per my reasons for each one, trade and resources (especially gold mines) should be more important.
The pikes of Phillip and Alexander (represented with short pikes now) were always on the offensive. Read any of Alexander’s battles. They almost always advanced at the attack and not stationary.

Marian reforms for the IA campaign is a nice touch.
KAM’s Alternative Economy is great. (Would have to test to see if it conflicts with the ones below.)
Improved Resources make them worth...
I will have to do some testing also, but lately my playing time is down due to RL. I have been playing on N/N with other mods to make it harder. I am usually a VH/N player but the battles would...
Very interesting! Thanks KAM!
Were the Silver Shields of the Seleucids true professionals though? Just curious...thought I read that they were selected from the best of the settlers to serve a few years, then transfer to the...
There is a historical reform dates sub-mod for those that want to wait 150 years or 600 turns for Marian reforms. :beerchug:
