I'll try to be polite. I hate it when people say stuff like "it's dead". No it's not dead. I'm always working on it, I update on moddb, not here. I'm doing this on my own, in my free time, and being...

I'll try to be polite. I hate it when people say stuff like "it's dead". No it's not dead. I'm always working on it, I update on moddb, not here. I'm doing this on my own, in my free time, and being...
Thanks, Earl! :thumbsup2 I'll drop him a pm.
Hello everyone, and happy new year!
*edit, problem solved
Oh ye of little faith.
Earl old friend, good to see you're still around! And thank you! I intend to finish what we started. :thumbsup2
I would prefer the descriptions to be in a Tolkien-like form. If you go to the moddb page, I've been posting unit screenshots there and some people have been writing descriptions under them. Among...
Hi Kurmanji! I am currently using the Minas Tirith custom battle map for Gondolin, I think it works great. Minas Tirith is very Gondolin-like.
I hope to find enough free time to work on the mod...
Seriously? I'm not making this mod for you or anyone else, I'm doing it for my own enjoyment, in my own free time. When it's finished and perfected, I'll gladly share it with everyone. If you don't...
Thank you for the offer, I appreciate it. Maybe I'll use parts of them for the house of Hador. :thumbsup2
So, no one's interested in helping with descriptions? :hmm:
Detailed descriptions like the existing ones of Doriath and Gondolin, if possible! With a lot of lore. Feel free to write as many as you like. :thumbsup2
(Lack of variety in faces indeed, but at...
Contribute with Unit Descriptions!
So, because I have very little free time for writing, here's a chance for everyone interested in this mod to contribute with unit descriptions! Post them here...
Units. I'm busy now, but when I have a bit of time I'll post screens of units with some basic info of what they are, so that everyone here can contribute with their descriptions, if they like. I...
Yes indeed :thumbsup2
So, who's interested in writing descriptions?
That's an old post. I have long since fixed and finished those, and all the units in the mod are finished. I'll only need help with descriptions.
Hello everyone!
In the rules of heraldry of the Eldar, it says that devices for males are placed within a lozenge, while devices for families/houses/countries are placed within a square. Does that...
I am currently adding new strat map models (captains, generals etc). Among other things.
Thank you for your patience, it shall be rewarded. :thumbsup2
Yes, WotS is still alive! :surprise:
Here's a glimpse of the Balrogs and Gothmog the Lord of Balrogs as they will be in this mod, based on lore. Morgoth's most terrible servants, demons of...
@AE10Card
Excellent! :thumbsup2 I'll pm you soon with the details. And don't worry, knowledge of Sindarin or Quenya won't be necessary in descriptions. Welcome to the forum!
You can't reach and see that part of the map (unless by cheating), so you can't see the Pope faction at all. There's a large forest barrier around.
You won't find a more lore-centric mod!
Sorry about that, I will update and replace with new ones, the old ones were outdated anyway, most of the models have been improved.
A lot of stuff has been added, and our soundtrack composer has finished creating some really awesome and epic and enchanting music for the game. Sorry for the delay and lack of updates guys, life...
Well it's not one of the last phases, but it's definitely getting closer to that!
Balrogs will be limited, but you'll certainly see monsters like dragons. Lots of monsters in this mod. :thumbsup2
Yes, pardon the lack of updates, I find it's better use of my time to work on the mod rather than update here, nothing personal. :P I have been fighting some health issues recently that kept me...
Yes, Taur-im-Duinath is conquerable - but still the Hidden/Pope region remains unseen by the player (otherwise it wouldn't be so hidden :surprise: )
Correct! Plus it's a cool mechanism...
The Pope region is hidden and unreachable, deep within the forest of Taur-im-Duinath, the player can't see it (unless using toggle_fow), whereas in the upper right corner it would be easily seen by...
Well that's not completely square. :surprise: Here it is:
...
You mean the little square region at the bottom? It's a hidden region for the Pope/Morgoth.
Based on lore, 33 new regions have been added to the campaign map, now 140 regions in total! :surprise:
Many more improvements and corrections have also been made to the map. Here you can see the...
I like my meat well-cooked and the blue of my Elves well-saturated!
It looks less bright when not in sunlight.
I'd say it goes well. :surprise:

Thanks. :thumbsup2
I've advanced a lot lately. I apologize for the lack of updates, I prefer to work rather than spend time on previews and updates.
Behold! The household bodyguard of Azaghâl, Lord of Belegost!
...
I'm pretty sure that only happens when a vassalage is taken during the game. When it's set from the start in descr_strat, it just works as an alliance, nothing negative about it.
And thanks, I'll...
Each of the three Noldor Houses will have certain auxiliary units coming from their respective vassals. The House of Fingolfin will have units of the house of Hador in its roster, including a...
I'm not so sure. The way I read the story, Hador basically entered Fingolfin's household and was most beloved by the king, a great elf-friend, the first to serve under an Elf-lord. He was practically...
Gil-galad will be part of Finrod's faction, this has already been decided. So if Fingolfin dies, Fingon becomes High King (as he should), and the faction is heirless. There will be some useful...
In any case, she will have the chance to leave Beleriand and establish her rule elsewhere, if the player wishes, as the campaign map includes three large regions in Eriador (one of them within deep...
There seem to be two versions of the story. The main one (where Celeborn is a Sinda of Doriath) being that Galadriel and Celeborn were still in Beleriand during the sack of Doriath, and the other one...
