  1. Post Scriptum has free weekend on steam (ww2 realistic shooter)

I thought this deserved its own thread. Anybody can download and play for the weekend without needing to own it this weekend. This is my go to shooter for realism mixed with good mechanics and...

Does anybody here play this in the AU region?
  3. Rome2 still looks horrible with a little zoom. Any fix yet? Pictures of my problem inside.

Just tried my rome2. This is what my a little bit of zoom does. It hurts my eyes to try to figure out what is going on at this distance. Like watching ghosts fight or little impressionist paintings....

Re: Total War: THREE KINGDOMS E3 Gameplay

Well. For the first 5 or so titles they improved in leaps and bounds and were games for history lovers. The direction was very clear, they were trying to do history better and we all loved it.

  6. Re: Rome II Ultimate graphics issues and missing features thread!!! (Updated 2017)

Have you posted this in the actual official forums?
I find rome2 unplayable since they made those graphical changes. I would prefer poor performance to playing "unit flag total war" where I cannot...

Re: Some findings about model's level of detail

Did anybody ever solve this? I am trying to configure my settings so that it was like the game was on release.... i.e. Crisp, clean and nice looking units even at distance with good 3D models.

Re: Interest in an Arena Total War review?

Total War Arena is here but it is very well hidden. So not really any possible way that any interest on this forum can be ascertained.
It is BETA so it's not like it is out already and people have...
  12. Re: NEW Napoleonic First Person Shooter (an rock paper scissors article on it as well).

It is also first person. Just press c.
Third person shooter is kind of obscure.
  13. NEW Napoleonic First Person Shooter (an rock paper scissors article on it as well).

I have been enjoying this one. Kind of like being in napoleon total war with I think 150 players per server and hopes to make that a larger number in future.
Slow enough for us old fellas.

Re: Conflicted about buying this game, opinions?

I would say don't bite. I was disappointed. It's fun at first playing with the shiney stuff. But once it becomes clear that armies have been dumber down and the game is really blob wars you get tired...
  16. Re: What is your favourite Total War for naval battles/warfare?

I really wanted rome2 galley warfare to be good. But it was a real disappointment. Almost no realistic mechanics.
Play age of sail 2 for a sailing game. Better yet naval action or even holdfast...

  18. TOTAL WAR ARENA - founder packs on sale, wargaming.net hosting + BETA access

Surprised to see not a hint of Arena on these forums. There used to be a subforum?

Total War Arena looks like its finally closer to becoming reality. It's now going into closed beta and they are...
  19. Re: battlestar galactica deadlock - anybody looking forward to this game?

Battlefleet gothic was real time. This is more like real time with compulsory pauses for orders.
  20. Re: battlestar galactica deadlock - anybody looking forward to this game?

This game is not based on the old series and neither is anything other game I know of in recent history. Unless a series has a current self contained large fan base like the original star wars Ineont...
  21. Re: battlestar galactica deadlock - anybody looking forward to this game?

They could well do it. But somebody above said battlestar was too old. So I wonder how he would react to Babylon 5 which is even older.

  25. Re: battlestar galactica deadlock - anybody looking forward to this game?

prithupaul. The whole point of battlestar galactica reimagined was that the director who could not do war and real psychology/real people when he did star trek Deep space 9 and the other star trek...
  26. Re: battlestar galactica deadlock - anybody looking forward to this game?

I agree that the last two separate seasons of the reimagined series were a bit ordinary, but I did not mind them. I liked the first two though and I also think razor and blood and chrome were great....
  27. battlestar galactica deadlock - anybody looking forward to this game?

I have been following this game for some time and am surprised nobody here is interested.

Ok just read it was for xbox playstation and PC. If it is not focussing on PC I have zero confidence it will be anything but oversimplified rehash of RTS games we played in 1993.

Love it. A game that dares to be different.

    (i) It's slow for an RTS game and in single player can be slowed to almost pause.
(ii) Can be played VS AI with friends. 10vs10 in multi vs people....
