In what context is that chariot included in that manuscript? Is there anything else to suggest the Romans still used chariots at this time? Because to my knowledge, Tacitus was still marveling over...

One of the mods listed in the DB thread the first post links to promised to make the Dumnonii a playable faction; the Usurpers and Rebels mod. Unfortunately, this mod either never made it to...
I notice this thread hasn't been touched in a while. I just wanted to ask: does anyone know of another mod in which the Dumnonii are a playable faction? The Usurpers and Rebels mod listed here...
Bah, typical corporate nonsense. That's a shame.
Are Osprey images not allowed?
Thank you again for that, it made my Outremer campaign a lot more interesting!
For people interested in reputation, specifically as regards Templars and Hospitallers, someone a while back uploaded a fix that allowed you - possibly only when playing Outremer, I can't quite...
This question has recently been raised at work about mosaics. I work on an archaeological heritage site open to the public, a Romano-British villa that had its heyday in the mid-4th century AD but...

This isn't the first time they've threatened to shoot a dog, then?
I don't have as much as I'd like but I'll tell you what I know. As far as early modern goes, the account of the German travellers witnessing an English harvest procession is in Kathleen Herbert's...
Relevant? Possibly; subjective. Significant? Nope. But given their isolation it isn't a wild stretch to suggest they'd been there a while before Tacitus' day; IIRC Tolkien certainly thought so. He...
Any plans for Sweboz regionals to represent specific tribes? Such as an Anglii Attendants of Nerthus unit? Or, as I've suggested before, Finnish sorcerers?
Does this sort of thing allow a machine to utilise more than one core? I know M2TW can only use one in normal circumstances, but mine's a dual core 2gb processor - so, if I've understood right, I'd...
I'd read a lot of migrants (peasants? I think?) moved from France to Hungary in the medieval period, but I never knew the Angevins were involved with Hungary. Were they any relation to the Angevin...
Unless I've misunderstood your point entirely (wouldn't be the first time), the chevauchée was part of a larger military goal of conquest. Edward and later kings knew France was immensely rich and...
Is the RAM fix not removing the issue entirely? I hate to be a negative Nancy but as I only have 2gbs of RAM I'm actually hoping that fix won't work because this way, the issue itself will actually...
Like Rarilmar says, you can recruit very quickly in those circumstances but M2TW doesn't really allow you replicate the fact those recruits wouldn't have been paid in the same way as many other...
Well, as long as all this dissection is happening to the late campaign and you're leaving the early one in 1132 you could make a Martian faction for all I care.
I'd rep you again if I could. Thanks for laying all that out!
I know it's not in there at the moment, I'm asking: are people asking for the late campaign to be moved to that date, or the early one? Because moving the late campaign I can understand; early, less...
Saithem, take a bow you magnificent human being. Thank you so much for this help.
I did indeed miss step three; the strategy section of the building description for the congress made me think the...
Going back to the discussion a few pages ago of a 1300AD start date - is that just for the late campaign? Because I really, really like the current early campaign start date of 1132. The "long...
It's sad that Ireland isn't in, but yeah, priorities. Not to mention the invasion of Ireland is hard to recreate without a hefty amount of roleplay; the absence of a disjointed Cambro-Norman faction...
Then couldn't you implement the building (i.e. Canterbury Cathedral) as what appears in the region's building list, and in the description include the actual relic or miracle it housed?
And I...
I've been trying to make the Koinon Hellenon reforms work since building the third Hellenistic Metropolis at Thermon. I built the next building at Korinth, and am at the point where I gather four...
Ah, late? That'll be why I missed them; all the custom battles I've played with them have been mid era. Time to give a late one a try.
Ze Germans had pikes? You learn something every day. Are we getting a proper phalanx unit for them in EB2?
I've had this a number of times; I think with mercenary units each time, so I'm never sure if there's meant to be more than one type or what.
What Yerevan said; you should ask in the Official Historical Armies Compositions for 2.2 stickied thread. Anubis has said he plans to add Gaulish/Celtic/German etc. compositions to the document when...
Were there problems on set, or something? I'm not sure I understand you right when you call them "corrupt scum;" did they have some sort of nationalist angle?
That helmet distinction might have...
Just knowing we have some info on this issue is great. Fingers crossed it'll make it into 2.2c, in which I'm planning to finally try out the Pritanoi. Thanks, xHolyCrusader.
Playing as Koinon Hellenon I'd thought I wasn't using cavalry enough; at most one unit, usually just Hippokontistai. Only in the last few turns have I started adding more, which is just one more unit...
I only ever play on hard difficulty or above for that specific reason; factions like Carthage which historically relied heavily, even primarily, on mercenaries would lose their flavour without that...
This happens to me, too. Not sure exactly when it started, but it's been there since at least 2.1 and it makes those battles utterly unplayable. Weirdly, when paused the frame rate jumps right back...
Thank you kindly, this was very helpful.
I thought someone said a page or two back that Strategic Fortifications give less money in regions with ports. Here we are:
Can you explain (I'm sorry about this - I know you're busy, so only...
Should we not build Strategic Fortifications in regions with ports? I just don't get this. :(
Any plans to add more faction types? I'm particularly curious about Celtic or German compositions, if we have anything on them.
Yep, I can second (third?) the above problem. I don't have such a struggle to round up routing units with any other mod, potentially barring 1648.
