    Re: Launcher problem

I removed the font color so I could read it.

Have you tried replacing the launcher.exe with medieval2.exe in the game's icon?
    Post your dxdiag.

Have you posted this in the M1 forum for Axalon's response? He's the one that knows M1 inside and out.

Poll: Re: Will you preorder Attila?

After buying Empire and seeing the obstacles of 32bit code, I made the statement I would not buy another one until they make it 64bit. This includes ATTILA.

    A couple of things.
1, Have you tried installing the monitor drivers? http://www.lg.com/uk/support/software-manuals#
    2. Did you install the game 16:9? Your monitor is.

What are your default settings if you don't adjust them?
What graphics card/chip do you have?
  19. Re: I can't play a single battle in the original Medieval 2 Total War fresh installed(Gold Edition)and 1.05 US patch, the mods work perfect,so what can be the problem?

    Have you fixed it?
I quit using the launcher as soon as it popped up when I installed the 1.2 patch in 2007. I just change launcher.exe to medieval2.exe in the icon's properties and on with life.
  20. Re: I can't play a single battle in the original Medieval 2 Total War fresh installed(Gold Edition)and 1.05 US patch, the mods work perfect,so what can be the problem?

    Are you using the launcher?

First thing is lay off the oversized bold font. Shouting is not appreciated by anyone reading this no matter how frustrated you are.

Now how about some particulars like what version of Windows?...

My RTW, BI, M2, Kingdoms are originals, too. Before there was a Gold Edition released.
Vanilla is 1.3 to me as this is when CA was finally supposed to have fixed the elephant cannons in sieges....
  34. Re: Why do units on walls occasionally refuse to move?

Not Kingdoms, Brittania. Just plain old vanilla. Thanks. Odds are it was Caernarvon.
  35. Re: Why do units on walls occasionally refuse to move?

It's been too long since I even checked the vanilla map. I'll take your word for it.

Re: how to disable auto-spawning ai armies?

Vanilla is still 1.3 until you edit the files. Steam version, God only knows what is vanilla anymore.
  38. Sticky: Re: Official advice if you're having problems launching Shogun 2

Buy the game. The only way. Steam will sell it to you. so will Amazon but you'll still have to activate it through Steam. Any dvd set will have the same requirements.
  39. Re: Where do i find the error log on steam?

Do you have -show_err in the command line? If RTW catches the error, you'll get a blip. If not, back to the hard way, each file, one line at a time. It does not have a log like Medieval2 does.
  40. Re: Where do i find the error log on steam?

Cleanest way, and not having backups, uninstall, delete all traces, use a registry cleaner, reboot, reinstall, patch, backup file before editing.
