Hello everyone, I was a short time Dev for the team doing some scripting way back in the Toho days, as well as...
If it was up to me people like you wouldn't even get to play the mod the same time as everyone else. As someone who recently rejoined the team and has been working and doing extensive testing on top...
The sad reality is a lot of modders simply do this out of the kindness of their hearts. It isn't fun, it isn't glamorous, it isn't particularly stimulating.
Life happens for some, and others...
Huge: Oldtown, KL
Large: Lannisport
Normal: Gulltown, Sunspear, White Harbor and I am unsure of the last.
The Riverlands and Stormlands are the only regions without a city I believe.
Balancing the factions. Bigger cities = more income, and more income = more power. It was done to keep things balanced, but the game engine is also limited. The size of a small city (first town...
Well I just got back from Basic Training and I'm interested to hear how things have gone as well :p
I'd say Stannis is the best general currently standing in Westeros, and I think that's represented well enough in the game but there are no 10 star commanders. You will have to build them up to that...
Indeed. At the very least make sure to use proper spoiler tags.
In what world do you think the Show is canon?
The mod is based off of the books regardless.
At the moment Euron isn't in the game, due to timeline implications.
For those interested in how difficult each faction will be, or more specifically your favorite faction I will shed some insight. The Tyrell's and Lannisters are easily the most. . . Easy? I guess....
Lets make sure not to spoil anything gentleman :)
But, tully>stannis
'Tis undeniable.
Oi, I bet that one stings.
No love for the Tyrell's, Arrnys, or Renly. But its been decided, Renly will be my first playthrough/AAR.
Glorious glory.
Not at the moment, but we are working toward something along those lines.
The Lannisters are quite fun, being extremely wealthy has its benefits.
Oh lord, prepare for the rage.
Every single unit is done? How'd you miss that one?
Well there goes the Stannis fan base! I must say, the Stormlands need some love and Caron is my favorite House after all. . .
I must say it surprises me to see so much interest in the Tully's. Stannis had the most support last time, maybe his limited roster has swayed people.
I *might* have made a thread somewhat similar to this, but I believe it was right after the Stark preview which I think was the first (?) preview of the new 1.0 rosters. So it is certainly quite...
Yeah they are pretty lackluster, and I agree. Just because its an old issue doesn't mean the anger behind it isn't justified.
If the game were in Beta Shape, we would do just that.
This is truly the worst :surprise:
Real life duties call unfortunately.
Hi, you must be new here.
I can assure you the 1.0 map is so much different, even if there weren't strat map models, a few new battle map models, and all of the units+new strat models there would still be an extra level of...
This would be a great time for one of you dark horse coders to step up, take the reins, save the day, and help us release the mod.
I wouldn't start scheduling just yet my friend, unless you plan to finish the coding on said vacation. There is still a little bit of work that needs to be finished, and then all of the work that the...
I wouldn't mind. I quite enjoy playing a two-thirds finished/buggy mod. Its grown on me.
Feels like the end of an era, an era that I was only able to reach the tail end of but an era nonetheless.
It's no farce!
All the units have been completed, and that is almost entirely due to Murf and his ridiculous and un-wavering work ethic through the years! Feel free to rep him when you get the...
Head. . . off. . . spike. . . walls. . .
Feel free to share the dev files, these plebians would implode with how complicated most of the stuff is. Then perhaps they'd finally realize why it's taking so long, heh :cursed:
Hanni you are a German general making mad scientist, great work as always.
What..?
Interesting sure, hard? Incredibly they wouldn't really be able to recruit or build anything lol.
Yeah they are non-playable and they are really just pre spawned rebel armies, not a faction that you could do some coding to make playable. To my knowledge at least. . .
Simply search WTWTeam on twitter. And you people have little faith, if you want some shiny pictures of some code later I can oblige. That's pretty much all we have to show at the moment...
