    You can use gemfx in the reshade framework, which works with Rome 1, I've tested it myself. It doesn't improve the look of the game much though sadly, because of its age.

    All you have to do is got into the sweetfx tab in the gem configurator and do this, if you want gemfx and reshade = sweetfx working together. I'm not even sure if this is necessary actually I didn't...

    It is compatible with Gem actually, you hook the reshade file to gemfx with the sweetfx alternate injection. It really is something else I've never seen a game so sexy.

    Agree with this to some extent but i think a bigger problem is units with shields as small as bucklers being able to use these formations, like the exploratores for example, it looks really odd.
